That's a valid point, but just look at the Leeds/Wakey game last night. 7,140 was the attendance at Headingley. Last seasons league game attracted 15,511 and just to show you how people really devalue the cup... the preseason friendly between the 2 of us got 9,062!

I really enjoyed the Fev Cas game, a real cup classic.
Widnes Saints just looks a bad advert for the sport. Poor crowd, no atmosphere and will turnout as a Saints walkover which considering both are SL teams doesn't look good.

| People do care about the Cup, I think it's got more to do with a shift in how people attend RL games. There are more season ticket holders now who are used to turning up without paying or buying a ticket in advance. It's not as simple as saying people don't care about the cup as playoff attendances are generally significantly lower than regular league games too but it would be daft to say no-one cares about the playoffs.

No, it's not a shame in the slightest.

| Pre-match the Beeb tell the viewers that Sunday's match FC v Shuddersfield is the tie of the round. Next question should have been "Then why are we not showing it?" The beeb love showing the sport in a poor light - a no contest in an empty stadium.

Was a cracking game with a great atmosphere.
Did they move widnes and saint Helens when we weren't looking? They were up north last I looked!
More and more desperate and ludicrous old lad!

| The Challenge (excuse the pun) is to get decent crowds throughout all the rounds considering that even the semis aren't sellout crowds
I don't know what the answers are, I'd just like to see the results.
Oh, and no Iestyn Harris commentary........

| Scouser in London.
On TV.
Widnes aren't one of the better supported teams.
Who would want to fork out for an inevitable dry bumming in a game that isn't part of the season ticket package.

Tom said that to me when we sat down for the League game last month. The sad thing was he was being deadly serious
