That would have been interesting tonight.
Agreed, another match up between King and Tomkins would have been good to see!

Wire were beaten before they kicked off.
Passionless, not at all committed.
They deserve everything they get if there putting all the eggs in one basket, infact - they should be fined for bringing the game into disrepute.
I feel sorry for the likes of Lee Mitchell and Cooper who worked there asses of once again.
Not a great image that game for RL'"
What an over-the-top reaction! Wire started quite brightly, and the game could have been quite different if we'd scored from the Andersons' break early in the match. We had a bad 15 minutes when Wigan got on a roll, but the second half was more or less even. The players were slapping backs and encouraging each other throughout. Not a great performance, it's true, but even John Kear agreed they could not be faulted for effort.

Just hope that Warrington don't pin their hopes on the CC, putting all their eggs in one basket so to speak. The disappointment of losing the CC and missing out on the play-offs would be immeasurable.
That said, on tonight's other performances, I think Cas are the team sliding towards the top eight trapdoor.'"
Weren't Wigan missing seven players?
A fact overlooked, again.

Possibly so, but I'd say they still had a much stronger team overall than Wire.

Who are the 7? Goulding, Ainscough and McIlorum have all been dropped this season for not being good enough IIRC. O'Carroll? Who else?
I assume you're not counting Gareth Hock and Tim Smith?

| Goulding - So good they sent him on loan
Smith - Turnstile
Bailey - Any youngster Wigan put in is better than him
Michael McIlorum - yes Wigan do miss this guy coming on and adding some speed
Karl Pryce - would he seriously have played
Ainscough - mistake central in the game at The HJ
Against
Mickey Higham - former international who would have put in a performance against his former club
Brian Carney - former international who also would have been up for the game
Paul Wood - former international and is a Wigan born lad
Simon Grix - Good young player, would have given us a stand off option when Briers went off
Matt King - one of our highest profile players, hat trick scorer in the semi
Jon Clarke - former Wigan player and former international, always offers the experience and great in defence
Garreth Carvell - has been immense for us this year
Chris Hicks - one of SL leading try scorers
Ben Harrison - has been brilliant for us this season
And we lost our playmaker Lee Briers at half time

| Most of ours are first team players, most of yours clock up about ten appearances between them other than Bailey and possibly Smith.
This is a daft argument, it was plainly obvious that Wire sent a reserve team, probably why the reserves got pasted too

If you geneuineley haven't heard of Paul Wood, Simon Grix and Ben Harrison, and think Matt King is paid £300k a year, ipso facto this list of opinions is worthless.

Perhaps it was tongue in cheek in response to the comparison posted by an earlier poster. One stupidly biased post deserves another? Just a thought.
