I suppose that would depend on how you determine "pretty much"

Three questions:
(1) Who are the MPs involved?
(2) What are their majorities?
(3) Isn't there a rumour going around about some sort of General Election within the next year or so?

Are they proposing an extra team (15 team comp) or for Celtic to be relegated?

The builders have been in for months and are well on with it. East Stand and Office/catering/function block should be completed by October. 4.5 million earmarked by Calderdale Council for project.

Fax weren't in administration but had a temporary cashflow problem which, with the help of the RL community and a former Chairman, was quickly resolved. Since then the club has turned itself round and I believe it is now on a solid financial footing.

Having said this, it is the first that anyone has heard of this news story so I couldn't say whether it is at the behest of the club or not.

And it's just proof that some MPs will sign any EDM stuck in front of them. Much as I like Jeremy Corbyn, I find it really difficult to believe he has any real interest in Halifax RLFC or rugby league in general.

I'd put money on it that Widnes have a better financial footing than Fax. Their stadium is finished now aswell.

Certainly not me. Unfortunately that's what franchising has brought about though. Each club looking after it's own interests and future. The number one priority used to be performances on the rugby pitch which resulted in promotion to the top flight, that is now a minor consideration.

To reiterate, I don't personally believe that the Halifax club are behind this as I don't think we are ready anyway but could well be in another couple of years.

), I think politics may be behind this but I'm a bit unsure how it will win votes for the honourable members for Islington North and Hayes and Harlington who have probably never heard of RL.

Cause Halifax is in a nice location with good views and it has EUREKA!

Less than 1/3 into the season and Halifax have qualified for and won a Grand Final in the Championship....you really couldn't make it up

TBH I think John McDonnell, Jeremy Corbyn and Alan Simpson are just EDM junkies who'll sign anything.
