In fairness to O'Loughlin his comments are more reasonable than most others I've read this week. I don't agree with his opinion on either ban but it does come across as a fair-handed opinion, rather than a cheap attempt to get a player banned or a slightly less cheap attempt to help a player avoid a ban.

He remains firmly on-message, in that the myth being peddled is that both players committed identical offences, when any fair-minded and vaguely sentient person can see that they didn't.
Hey ho - to use a few Stevoisms, it should be a 'humdinger' or indeed, a 'wow of a game.'

What myth? All that's being said is that neither player should have faced a ban, there's no hint of the same or even similar offences.
Just like the myth's that can be read in the last week about Wigan, on this very page there's the myth of Sean O' not tackling below the neck for example. |
