| I am going to say it again: if it is true that they have not paid over employee pension contributions to the relevant pension scheme trustees, this is a VERY MAJOR ISSUE. Post-Maxwell, you can go to jail for that. It is much more serious than not having paid over the PAYE you have deducted from employees, even though both are effectively theft.
Any of you guys out there running your own business or involved in pensions administration ( ) will of course only be too well aware of this.
I am very fearful for the club's future based on what I have seen reported. And other than Nigel Fat Oxygen Thief Wood, does the RFL employ any financial people? Let alone financial professionals?

| So now we have a union fan that has publicly turned his back on rugby league saying he told us so and a Harlequins fan saying we are a farce. I'm glad people are so quick in pointing the finger here.
So, if we come out of the other side of this, ala Wakefield (no disrespect intended for that club) then is it all ok? Or was their tax bill and winding up order somehow different.
I fully believe since the move to Wrexham the club have been doing or trying to do things properly. Virtually every fan who travels up from South Wales, not including those that wished death on the club as a result and turned their back on it, have notice that the club is better in virtually every way imaginable.
I am going to wait for the facts. If it is the case that we have to tighten the purse strings and play some Welsh youngsters then I dread to think what some people on here are going to have to post about. They might as well bin their keyboard.

| I think(and hope) that the board will try everything they can. This could mean Crusaders as well as Wrexham FC going under. Here is what was posted on another board as to why the Crusaders matter to Wrexham FC.
________________________________________________________________________________________
I have had a couple of PM's asking if the Crusaders stuff can be moved away from the Wrexham forum. To save my fingers, this is why I think it is relevant to every fan of the football club.
Around 11 months ago the move of the Cru up to North Wales was put in pretty stark terms:
"The deal is very important for the future of Wrexham FC. The club cannot survive if only 1,800 fans are coming through the gates. We needed to do something to diversify and to protect the Racecourse going forward. Actions speak louder than words.
It's not all about just pumping money into the football club. We had to look at the infrastructure we have here and bringing rugby league to the Racecourse will act as a much-needed income generator."
More recently in August the Football Club site offered a statement on finances, which for the Cru said:
"The group also contains Crusaders RL which has inherited debt, but at present a neutral profit contribution to the group. It does however help share the costs of the Stadium and its facilities and contributes to the in-house sale of food and beverage with a six figure income."
It is reasonable therefore to say without the Cru the costs for the Football Club will rise.
To place this in context our majority shareholder / owner has stated recently that 'you can't run a club' on the current gate reciepts.
ie. WFC on its own is unsustainable as a business as it is, let alone with the loss of the Cru.
A winding up petition is 'a Petition presented to the Court for an order that a company be placed into compulsory liquidation'. ie. the company is no more.
At the fans forums certain facts were presented in clear terms:
- The Crusaders revenue was and is helping the Football Club survive.
- There will be no more cash coming into the Football Club from the land/student developments around the ground.
What is even more worrying is the lack of feedback to both sets of fans from the powers that be.
I would ask that the Chairman, majority owner... ANYONE ... just tell the fans what is going on and engage in a two way process to unlock the positive support for the club(s) that can work with the community rather than ignore it.

As they should with Quins or whatever and Skolars then. Reward those putting in the graft to develop the game

| This is what comes from trying to expand to quickly. The RFL are to blame. They trumpet expansion but do not give it enough financial support. If it wasn't for David Hughes Harlequins would be in the same boat.
When it comes to professional sport I have little sympathy for a badly run business. You're selling a people a dream. If there isn't the business acumen to back that up you're ruining people's lives. People care passionately about sport. Bad business messes with emotions. No one has the right to do that.
