| I'm well pleased with the result. Catalan deserved it and hopefully will give RL over there a huge boost.
But the amount of Wire hypocrites over on various RL Facebook pages kicking off at 'fans of other clubs supporting a French team when they should be backing an English one' is rather amusing. I didn't see much 'backing of the English team' when they were all cheering for Catalan in the semi at Bolton against us. What goes around etc etc.

I’ll give you tense but of course it was tense, any final that has only one score in it towards the end will be tense.

| Happy for Catalan and Casty. The more teams winning Silverware the better for the game in my book. Having said that, we were utterly woeful whenever we got a chance, and we had enough despite Catalans stonewall defence at times.

I thought that the nine (9) French players in the Catalans 17 man squad, played well today. Do you agree ?
Why did you not go to the game today?

Yeah Warrington’s lack of patience was staggering at times. 8-0 down with 60 minutes remaining and they were playing like they only had 6 minutes left to turn it around.
Had enough chances near Catalans line to score maybe 5/6 tries. On the other hand can’t really remember Catalans having any other chances really in the Wire 20m except the 3 they scored from. On the one hand you say that’s good clinical play but also shows they could’ve lost against more clinical opposition.

Very perplexing honestly. There's no way that was Prices gameplan and the sheer panic whenever we made a break was maddening. We had that Lineham try disallowed so we got over the line as many times as they did. Then again our actual tries only came from their immediate mistakes.

Balderdash. A shame how twisted some folk can be. There was plenty of stuff in that Wire non-performance for you to legitimately criticise, but you have to have a go at the video ref. Catalan completely deserved to win, Wire didn't, and I'm delighted for French Rugby League in general. Much as I'd like to add another Challenge Cup to Wire history, this win for Cats is far more important. Check out their Twitter feed and you'll find huge numbers of Catalans praising the team in their language. They can probably play another game in Barcelona on the back of this.

Nothing 'faux' about it. Of course we supported our team in the final, but I was not the only Wire fan to be extremely pleased for the Cats after this game. Losing to them, against the background of the big win for French RL that this, is nothing like as hurtful as losing to Pies, Saints, Widnes etc. Plus kudos to their fans who travelled, cost them each around £750 to get there. They deserved it as much as the team did.

Couldn’t agree more terry
Tony Gigot 10/10 Fantastic Lance Todd Winner and history maker, the 1st Frenchman to win it
Fouad Yaha 6/10 unusually poor game by his high standards, he’s normally like a French Ryan Hall
Remi Casty 9/10 Captains knock, brilliant all game, made lots of yards and tackles
Mickael Simon 7/10 solid performance
Jullien Bousquet 8/10 Barnstorming runs off the bench
Benjamin Garcia 8/10 part of a cracking backrow pair
Benjamin Jullien 8/10 part of a cracking backrow pair
Mickael Goudemond 8/10 inexperienced (6th game) but did a great job, a French superstar in the making
Jason Baitieri 7/10 provided solid cover off the bench

| ^^ How about McIllorum?? I know he didn’t play 80, but I thought he had a great game, his experience around the ruck showed and he totally outplayed Daz Clark. 9/10 for him in my opinion.

Facebook, LOL!
I was hoping there’d be loads of fans of other clubs getting behind Catalans in attendance yesterday to boost the crowd.
