Wood has a big scratch under his eye where he was gouged first, he shouldn't have reacted like he did but anyone who has played Knows it's hard not to.
As for leatherbarrow (the leigh fan, yes he is). Spoilt another game between Fev and Leigh, why does he get this match almost every time it's played. He refuses to give any decisions that will cause Leigh problems.
Hock should have been at least sin binned for lashing out at baldwinson, it would have calmed things down

I dont like it when refs are intimidated. It undermines the whole game. The ref needed to gain control and it appeared that Leigh controlled him

Wood should be looking at 5 or 6 matches. Threw 2 headbutts, a forearm and then gouges Beswick in the eye all in one tackle. Hope they throw the book at him. Game was scrappy and nasty but Wood was beyond a joke. Seriously grubby actions for a supposed veteran. Easiest red card decision ever. |
