| I know you are only joking DA but the plans don't seem to show any changes at that end of the ground.
I assume the brown blobs are the houses and the terracing will remain at the same level in front of them.
It would be great for Fev to upgrade. I always liked our rivalry too.
Not sure powers that be in Super League will like us Cas and Fev all in same league.
Maybe Fev and Wakefield could share Cas as the feeder club

Good news!
What will be the new capacity of POR once the new stands are in? Are the new stands approx 1,000 each?

| I thought the plan was to move the pitch up a bit away from the POR end to enable it to be levelled. Seems pitch is staying as it is, or lengthened at the other end. Is there still plans to remove the slope?

9000 and a bit for now, can be upgraded to the magic 12000 figure with relative ease (crush barriers on the terracing and a few more seats)

The cost of a full move was too high, plus it would render most of the oldest stand (on the clubhouse side) unusable due to poor sightlines
They've gone for lengthening and leaving the POR end as it is for now.
Not sure about the slope, I know they've looked at it, but I think the main issue is that the two existing stands are built with the slope in mind.

The planning application does not agree with you :-
"The overall stadium capacity will be approximately the same as it is currently, 6750."

Just going on what I heard at the fans forum, hadn't seen the planning application. Further research required

| So after Cas fans were promised last week that there would be an update on the situation regarding their new stadium it would appear that the update is that there is no update....
rlhttps://www.loverugbyleague.com/news_9922-ferres-plots-castleford-overhaul.htmlrl
[i'....Ferres has also urged fans to "keep the faith" with the new stadium project, which he describes as "very complex".
He added
Looks like the CEO has been changed but not the record.

Not sure you're right there Homer. I was actually involved in the construction of the original new stand that replaced the one that burnt down in 1984 (I think).
It is deffo not sloped and if I recall it was built with the levelling of the pitch in mind. I imagine the one built in the 90's was the same.
I honestly see no reason with a new end why it cant be levelled or at least leveller.
Be a tidy ground then.
