Somehow I think the championship will be more exciting again!

I reckon the top 5 will be similar to the ones this year, quite a few quality players going to the NRL and some players coming to their sell by date. With this in mind Im not expecting an improved standard of Superleague.

LLS might be wide open. GF will go to one of two teams unless they both suffer badly from injuries, Wigan did in 2017, Leeds did in 2018. If neither do it could a repeat of the 2015 GF.

| Warrington missed a big chance tonight.wigan were ragged and made a lot of mistakes just that wire didn't offer much when in the red zone.

Going back to the old play off format could stop a team outside the top making the final.

Yeah and that’s why it’s less likely you’ll see a club like Hudds or Cas win a LLS and the usual suspects will end up where they need to be.
First year of 8 team playoffs in 2009 Leeds finished 1st and won the GF....then in following years finished well off and still won GF’s from 5th twice
First year of Super 8’s in 2015 Leeds finished 1st and won the GF....then finished comfortably in 2nd and beat Cas in the GF.
Last two structure changes Leeds have won the LLS and GF first year up and then snuck in and won the GF in other years. Next year, new structure........

| Bloody hell printer give it a rest mate. Only the most self obsessed leeds fan would turn a topic of the 2018 GF featuring wigan and Warrington to be about Leeds!
If you fancy leeds to win the GF next year I strongly suggest lumping on asap, you'll get circa 6/1. It's more likely there will be another name on the trophy than leeds winning it next year.
Getting back on topic, amazing from wigan and wane, not so much tonight but to finish the season with 10 straight, to concede just 4 points in 2 playoff games, to concede something like 8 tries in 9 games, phenomenal.
Losing Wane, Tomkins , bateman and Sutton is a hell of a hit though. Really fancy Saints to be there or there abouts next year.
As for Warrington, Sickener, sympathies for their fans. To lose 4 finals in 3 years is brutal.

Not a chance we will be there or there abouts next season. On redvee, Naiqama has been heralded as a saviour. For those of us that watch the NRL, he’s a poor mans Ade Gardner. Between cas and Wigan for me. Warrington will choke again and Leeds, on paper or bottom half of the league again

You were seconds from old Trafford last year despite being garbage! Put Walmsley back in, even if naiqama is steady away it's still an improvement on last year's saints side. You probably won't smash sides week in week out but wigan didn't expecially this year nor leeds last year .
Cas and wires best chance of silverware is playing each other in a final!

| Any team with Tyrone Roberts in the halves will win anything.

Sorry if the truth hurts, but maybe if people listened they’d understand why the same two teams win.
Saints will be there or there abouts next year but “there abouts” doesn’t win Grand Finals.

This time 12 months ago who’d have Warrington as reaching both finals and Catalans as CC winners when both where in the bottom 4 with the latter playing away in the MPG.
Leeds went from 9th to GF winners once before recently with most of the same squad. only a fool would dismiss them from being in contention again next year.

11 wins
11 wins = Wigan & Leeds
9 losses = Warrington & Saints
6 League Leaders' Shields = Wigan, Warrington, Leeds, Saints, Castleford, Huddersfield (plus Bradford if you go back 3 more years)
What a shame the best team over the weekly rounds is overlooked for a the winners of a mini knock-out competition.
And I say that celebrating our win tonight.

| Quote: Cronus "11 wins
They aren’t overlooked though if they follow it up in the playoffs. Leeds have won the LLS 3 times in 2004, 2009 and 2015....we won the GF every time.
Nothing stopping those other LLS winners doing the same EXCEPT their OWN failures.
Saints had the advantage of home territory and playing against the team that was least consistent of the 4 over the season...that they couldn’t take advantage of this advantage isn’t a shame it just shows that they aren’t a champion team.
The regular season now is just about who has the least injuries, the playoffs tell you whose really best.
