"The Golden Generation finally has its Golden Fleece! They have Wembley Cup Final winners medals to add to their collection." 23/08/2014:

Quote: NEwildcat "Impressive given the injury list last season, but hey only Leeds had problems
We weren't the only team to have problems, but we did have the biggest issue of having over a months less pre-season.

The wishful thinking of our small time West Yorkshire neighbours of Wakey and Cas hoping this is the start of several seasons of Leeds' struggles is duly noted and will be laughed at at the end of the season when normal service will have been resumed.

Your training ground got flooded at the end of December didn't it? i thought you managed to get other places to train while most of it was out of commission.
Just found a quote you posted on the subject-
Quote: ThePrinter "
“The initial impact of the flooding at Christmas probably set our pre-season back about two or three weeks as we had to find venues and pitches during January when everyone was suffering from the bad weather.

“Out of an eight week pre-season we probably lost two and half weeks worth of training time'"

Where did anyone say they wish that?

Wow - mass over reaction there, I don't see anyone having a go at Leeds.

Yes and what I wrote was correct, we did lose that amount of time out of the pre-season we had planned. But we were already squeezing our preseason into a smaller window of time because we returned much later to preseason last year because of sticking around for the Kiwi game and the effort the players had to give to get over the line for the treble.

Last year we started preseason on 1st Dec.
This year we've started on 7th Nov and did likewise in Nov 2014. Hence time before and after the flood combined it was well over a month lost. At this level you simply can't lose that amount of time and it not have a big effect.

No it was a quote you posted that came from your Head of Athletic Performance Jason Davidson on the subject.

Anyway, I can't see you making the mistake of being in the bottom 4, unless the injury bug hits again. Just having Segeyaro here from the start of the year will make a big difference for Leeds. I have you down as being 6th for whatever that's worth.

No - that tells us your not very good at maths.

2 + 2 + 3 = 7.

7 X 2 = 14 (not 17).

There endeth the lesson. icon_stupid.gif

N.B - We (Tigers) did actually finish with 31 points from 15 wins and a draw. Not the mythical 17.

Quote: ThePrinter "We didn't need to by that point as we'd already qualified and losing narrowly to Hudds (who desperately needed to win) with only 1 fit sub left in the 2nd half isn't exactly evidence as to how we'll struggle in 2017. Otherwise I could point out that Castleford, Hull and Warrington all lost at Hudds too, the latter got nilled.'"

Cas Tigers didn't lose at Hudds.

Yeah got that one wrong as I was thinking back to the previous seasons game there when you were nilled.

Still trying to work out how my maths were actually correct all along?

Most people learn maths at a young age by counting on their fingers so it's understandable that people from Cas are poor at counting seeing as though they have a different amount to most of us.

Your not far out actually Printer. Cas Tigers finished on 31 points from a possible 60 dropping 29.
We didn't do too bad - disappointments for me were saints beating us 3 times (again icon_sad.gif ) and not getting anything from the Salford league games although we did beat them in the CC. Just to highlight how inconsistent we were in 2016 - Hull KR took 3 points from us as well.

I wasn't out at all. You picked up 17 points from non West Yorkshire teams from a possible 46 which is what I said all along. Twigged that yet?

Quote: Tigerade "We didn't do too bad - disappointments for me were saints beating us 3 times (again
You were around 8th place for a lot of the year and 9th placed wih only a couple of games to go. You managed to jump up a few spots because Catalans, Widnes and Wakefield threw the towel in over the last third of the season. Reality was you were never in with a sniff of the top 4 at any point and your 5th place was more a case of others around you giving up by Round 20.
