Don't watch then. Stick with your own sides scintillating, breathtaking rugby, especially if you like dozing off during a game.

RL is a contact sport and players get hurt during every game.
However, it's better to be dozing off during a game, than waiting for one of "your" players to deliberately try and injure an opponent, sanctioned by the head coach.
Maybe you get off on that stuff but, it's not sport.
When fan's come on here defending some of the antics of certain players, it's just embarrassing and to be "heppy" with it, is to condone it so, i'll just go ant take a nap.

| Not sure Wakefield are in any position out of all of the SL teams to complain of being "grubby" when they seem to have a player banned every week, certainly recently. I suppose that's the beauty of having a mindset that the governing body hates your team - you get banned because of them and not your teams play. If I'm wrong in this assessment I apologise.
I genuinely believe Wakefield would be pushing for an even higher position than they are had they not had the discipline issues. Prior to what another comment said I think they're playing very good rugby and consistently so well done to them for that.
Discipline recently has been awful for Wigan the last month or so and they've nobody to blame but themselves. It's hard enough to compete against the top sides put you're making that even harder for stupid reasons. Touching the ref. Fighting. There's no excuse.

That's just funny, really
I've watched all the SL since it's inception and plenty of RL before that but, Wigans whole style of play, under Wane, is different from that of any other club.
Catalan play a fierce brand of RL but, NOBODY else plays as close to (or maybe over) the line as the "mighty Wigan".
Every coach should try back his players but Mr Wane will defend the indefensible and some of the stuff that he has said pre match to his players and post match are nothing to do with playing sport but more about win at all costs, regardless of what that means for player welfare or the image of the sport.
Wane blames anything but his own players and the culture that appears to be fostered inside the club, is showing up really well isn't it ?

Wane is just carrying on the teachings of Michael Maguire whose tough regime and lack of welfare for players was easy to introduce into super league due to the weakness of the RFL. Cannonball and chicken wing tackles came into our game through his methods.
Some Wigan fans will know but not admit it that there was a condone of tackles to injure, this was evident by the large game time posters on the walls of the orrell training ground which they titled "car crash victims" or "road kill".
For Wane his lack of technical coaching is glossed over by his 100% commitment to tough physicality which is more a brand of "Thugby", these methods not mandatory adopted by other clubs fortunately due to the risks of player(s) losing control.

| I don't have a problem with Wigan playing the game tough. In fact I sometimes enjoy it and occasionally admire it.
However these type of tackles, cannonballs, chicken wings, pinning ankles, kneeling/pressuring calves, crushers etc aren't tough. They're cowardly and Wigan (or any other team) don't need them to still be a top team.

| We've had one player banned for a tackle on the legs (it wasn't a cannonball ffs), one for touching a ref and one for a high tackle. Hardly all out war on the pitch is it?
Fwiw we have been on the end of plenty of shathouse tactics ourselves this season. Clubb is out for the season and requires neck surgery because of a crusher tackle by a player that wasn't banned, not referred to the disciplinary and not even penalised.

you are the only one claiming it was a crusher tackle, (probably the ape too), ive seen the game back a couple of times and not seen anything, yet you keep harping on about it

Its probably quite difficult for a wigan fan to understand and accept, yes we have lots of players (enforcers) in the game that do the bad stuff but it is not built into a structure extensively like the Wigan one. The RFL have a lot to blame in that they seem to give one particular team a certain amount of tolerance, hence the recent concern on appeals and leniency. Like posters have already said do we have to wait until a player breaks someones neck, causes permanent damage, fatality etc.

Quite - that was the beginning of Wigan's introduction of Thugby League under Maguire; the dressing room was adorned with incitements to injure the opposition. Wane has continued that ethos, but with significantly less finesse than his Aussie mentor - amply demonstrated by his documentary appearance, when he exhorted his players to: ""Knock people out. I can't give you any more of a free rein than that. Create f***ing mayhem. Be reckless. Because that's what's going to get us a f***ing win next week."

| You've got to love the hypocrisy on display here. Wigan fouls are to be condemned, other fouls to be excused or glossed over. Player welfare is a huge concern until a Wigan player gets injured by one of yours. Sort your own houses out first.

Forget bans and what's in the rules or not. Listen to Mcdermott's post match interview on the rhinos website.
