Lots of positive for the home crowds to turn up tonight

12,000 exactly at the KC. A little disappointing actually for a first game of the season after a good win last week but that will grow if we carry on performing.

It's about 800 down on last year I think but iirc there was some sort of a promotion for last years game.

Yeah I thought there was more there, looked like more anyway, west stand more full than a lot of matches but thought there might have been a few more Warrington fans there, I understand how hard it is to get to hull on a Friday night for a lot of teams of course.

It took us over 3 hours to get to Wigan tonight the M62 was a crawler lane all the way!

14,100 at Headingley, IIRC that's about 300 down on last year too. Partly due to the rain and small away following.

As above, that's not a criticism of Widnes. I go to few away games myself for the same reason.

Managed to get to the KC this year but there weren't many of us, I had to book time off work and leave at 4 just to get there at 7:45!

More would go if it wasn't on Friday nights all the time but I understand that's the FC fans' preferred day.

Regarding the travelling thing and M62. Looking at the Thursday night fixtures they've tried to be as sensible as possible. First two weeks they've had teams from 'over there' playing each other (wid/wig & sal/sts) and the next one is Leeds/Hudds. Looking at more of them then quite a few all-West Yorkshire clashes and West (wrong) side of the Pennines clashes too. Some exceptions inevitably really like Wakey vs Wigan on a Thursday night at one point but on the whole not too bad.

Why's the M62 an issue, I was under the impression with the amount of criticism Leigh get that fans travelled everywhere by Train.

Well something of a pause after last weeks increases. Looks to be more of draw back this weekend.

the M62 was a shocker lastnight but i did it in 1hr 25 from ainley top. set off at 6pm

we set about half 3 with the intention of getting to wigan early and getting some grub away from the ground, by the time we had crawled into wigan it was well past 6 so we decided to just to the red robin.
we must have hit the worst of the traffic as it was around 4.30-5 when we hit manchester
