Whilst I am sure he will pass comment on playing personnel, I assume Koukash would like some guidance and advice on the structures which are in place at the moment and how these could be improved upon.
Fingers crossed during his time at Salford Marwan manages to offer him enough money to convince him to take over the reigns on a permanent basis. I can dream!'"
I'm not comparing it to other SL squads, and neither will he...the australian national team coach.
Its gonna be a major MAJOR culture shock for him, especially when he watches the tape of thursdays game and how you defended.

Probably the best thing he can do is get rid of that over hyped coach. In our League why do certain coaches develop high reputations despite having such a poor record? First thing he should of done was set on the best coach his money could of bought and then let him do the rest.

| Does one loss really equate to needing to bring a consultant in. I'm not sure whether the game is good for the health of the good Dr. Surely he has had racehorses that don't win. He's lost contracts to better competitors. I just don't get that 2 games in it needs a big shift. Saints lost badly to Warrington last year but yet we won the league and the GF.
In the end Saints are shaping up for a WCC on Sunday.
It's not beyond the imagination that Saints would be at a level above that of Salford. It's no reason to hit the panic button.

Saints have had success at all levels of the game consistently for 20 years. Salford have been a shambles. I think Koucash has realised that it's not just about throwing money at players and hoping they click, you need to build a solid infrastructure at all levels for the TEAM to be successful. I think that's one of the reasons he brought Harris in, Harris was the assistant at Wigan and was one of the people whom helped implement the attacking structure at Wigan, and he may have also been able to help develop Salford's academy.
Having said all that I don't think he's bringing Sheens here to offer guidance, he's bringing him here to see if he'd be interested in the job. I mean, Harris and Noble have both been in the game a long time so you have to think they'd know something about building a successful club, so I'm not entirely sure what Sheens could suggest that Vievers, Noble and Harris haven't.

| Tim Sheens as a "consultant"? Pull the other one Marwan.
Has Sheens got any experience of setting up and managing club structures, as opposed to just being a first grade coach? He'd have been better off bringing in someone like David Waite if he wants an audit of the club from top to bottom.

It is not an original thought or idea that Mr Koukash has had.He was wanting to bring Flanagan in from Australia as a 'consultant' with regard to bringing the whole club into being able to place youngsters, into the first team, with a similar system of play to the first team.( He may need to hang back on that! )
He also had an interest in bringing in a Director of Rugby - the last one being Ellery Hanley.
rlOld News Linkrl
Win,lose,or draw;off season or on,Dr Koukash can be relied on to get the media coverage and the followers of the game discussing him and his club.

| Didn't he promise that he'd sign several British Lions for Salford about a year ago? How did that go?

| Could be a worse outlook for the good Doctor.
One of his key signings has just thrown homophobic abuse around on Twitter and not been smart enough to delete it.
The ban he's already facing might just get a few weeks longer.

| I suspect that this will be the last year of his tenure as owner of Salford. It's a shame really, because the game needs more people with the will to invest in it, but he really has made some terrible decisions including his continued need for knee-jerk reactions.

| Gareth Hock continues to show that he shouldn't be allowed near society.
Wonder how the RFL view online written public homophobic abuse. We shall see.
