| Lets see what happens come play off time, I just have a feeling the usual suspects will hit form (Wigan, Warrington, Leeds, St Helens) and Huddersfield will f*ck up has always.

Well Saint's have won nowt in years and Warrington are pretty new to lifting trophies so those teams, apart from Wigan and Leeds, are hardly the "usual suspects". So maybe it's on the cards for the Giants to break through this season just as Warrington did.

| They have had a great year but I still aren't convinced about them in proper one off, do or die games. I would back Leeds, Wigan and Warrington all to beat them in the playoffs and tbh I would expect my team (Hull FC) to be able to do a job too. It would be nice if they prove me wrong though and we have a new name at Old Trafford.

as always? we knocked wire out of the playoffs not so long ago and wasnt far off reaching the grand final until cunningham had his say for saints!
other times though have been disappointing, but our players have been totally knckered by this time under the nathan brown era. Anderson has kept the team fresh this time

Finishing 5th does have it's advantages
Interesting editorial piece in League Express today which is critical of Huddersfield's attendances and which attempts to shed some light on why they are so poor. It is suggested that part of the reason is that the Giants spend too much time begging people to come and watch them with season ticket deals offering people the chance to watch them for virtually nothing throughout the season. As a consequence, the Giants have devalued themselves in the market place by selling tickets at such ridiculously cheap prices. They've marketed themselves as an East German Trabant rather than a BMW.

5th place always provides a lovely opportunity to play a team who were beaten up, battered and bruised the week before. In 2010, it just happened to be Warrington who were beaten up, battered and bruised by St Helens the week before.

| Im pretty sure whichever position you are in, if you are playing the second week, you played the week before.
in 2010, Hudds game was a closer game than Warringtons.

| I think the problem the Giants might have when it comes to the crunch is their forwards! As good as they have been this season, they have a soft under belly! They lack anyone with a bit of mongrel in them, which can mean when they meet a big aggresive pack like Warrington, they could struggle just like in the CC! I know one of the Warrington 1st team players and he said that before the CC cup game they were very confident going up against Hudds and he also said Tony Smith said "we are going to go out and bully these today lads!" Pretty much what happened! I also know one the Giants players very well and when I ask him about the Warrington Cup game his exact words to me were " They bullied us mate, it happens nearly everytime we play them". That's not to say they can't win it but I think it's a big weak point in one-off games.

| The only team the giants haven't spanked this season and that's just a mentality thing, and everyone seems to forget we caned the Superleague Champions in the previous round of the cup with 12 men
In the CC against Wire the giants were unable to direct their energy properly, using it to be nervous instead. But each time we lose to wire it's simple a lesson in what not to do. At some point in a big game they'll get it right. Simple as that.

| Warrington are the only team i genuinely fear, the other top clubs have hardly bothered us when we've played them - Leeds 3 times, Wigan twice, Saints twice, Catalans twice(inc a 60 point demolition), Hull twice have all been brushed aside with relative ease.....Its a mentality thing with Wire , but the hoodoo has to end sometime !!

| Its funny because I think if you asked Wire, Leeds, Wigan, Saints who they would rather play, I think they would all choose Hudds.
Play-offs are a different beast to league rugby, the other 4 have players who have been there and bought the T-shirt. Hudds have never looked a real threat in the play-offs, and you need that experience to pull you through.
Hudds have lost their last 4 in the play offs conceding 46 points 34 points 47 points and 42 points.

| Huddersfield still have to provide evidence they are genuine contenders rather than whipping boy SL rabble. Finishing top of the SL ladder means nothing, particularly when one considers that Wigan and Warrington haven't appeared very focused or interested in finishing 1st this year. Wigan rested players against Huddersfield last week.

not sure how long you've been watching RL, if its more than 4 years then you'll know that Huddersfield were the whipping boys of super league not so long ago and before that, whipping boys of the entire rugby league, so i'll take that comment as a massive compliment that you think we have always F***** up
