But a well supported competitive London would be a massive boost for RL in this country, so at the advent of Licencing they should have essentially been taken over and marketed to death, yet another failure by the RFL

You don't know what you're talking about. Tre Cool has been playing this game for years. It's on him and him alone, not Broncos fans. Like I say, get out of jail free card. Be as obnoxious and hypocritical as you want, then claim any backlash is some sort of northern parochialism and anti London feeling. It's not. It's just that he deserves it.

Even if 2 x 10 would be a good concept, how will this unite the sport.
Four clubs to be culled from the top flight and a further 8 clubs to be culled form the second tier of RL,
i'm sure that they and their supporters will all be delighted.

You want it as you know Leigh won't get into Superleague.

Leigh are in, we've had the 'Widnes Whisper' , but think 2 x 10 is what the sport needs. Having recently been in with us scum you would know that there are only 4/5 teams capable of sl2, and I believe a £1m min salary spend would sort them out. The make up would be 4 down 4 up and 2 expansion, ie Toulouse plus 1, ideally South Wales if based in Cardiff/Swansea.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

| Would SL2 be full time? If so, it's a recipe for disaster.

I think that the proposed set up is for 2 full time leagues of 10.
Also there would be a lower cap for league 2 than SL1, but this would still represent an increase on the current championship cap.
Why do you think full time would be a disaster ?
Surely, for the long term future of the game and with the hope of one day becoming competetive against the Aussies, we need the largest pool of pro players possible.
Equally, if there are more full time opportunities in the game, maybe more young lads may be tempted into the game ?

Apologies, having re-read my post I meant to say, if it's NOT full time it will be a disaster. You can't have a PT league "feeding" a FT league on a yearly basis, not enough time.
Having said that, I don't think we can support 20 FT clubs anyway so my typo is correct

| No, 14 is more than enough for SL.
IMO, have a 9's competition in Manchester over Magic Weekend. Two groups of 7, top 2 into the semi-finals. The winners get 4 SL points, the runners-up 3 points and the two losing semi-finalists 2 points.
As has been mentioned by loads, reduce the number of SL matches, and IMO only have SL teams in the Challenge Cup. Have the weekend before the CC Final free. They're playing too often. Only play 1 match over Easter too.
