Quote: General Zod. "Justin Morgan signings but I wouldn't imagine them to be on significant money like your signings.'"
If Justin Morgan was confirmed to leave at the start of August, why would he be involved in the recruitment process?
The two Crusaders players were signed after Morgan was confirmed to leave. Basically, Rovers saw that Crusaders players were exempt from the quota and jumped at signing any they could regardless of age.
Hardly an "investment" like JB is trying to make out out the "youthful" Hull KR side. More like opportunism.
Quote: General Zod. "34 years old with a 4 year old reoccuring knee injury.'"
That still played 126 games in 5 years for you guys. That recurring knee injury sure slowed him down! He's only a back up to the back up anyway, behind Ellis, Tickle, Whiting and Westerman. He's there to offer some experience.
Quote: General Zod. "32 year old and injured for significant period last year. Could go well but his game play requires more physicality than a player like Steve Menzies so he's not an accurate yard stick.'"
Any player can pick up a significant injury at any time. Doesn't mean they won't recover or that they're recurring or injury prone.
Ellis has played 22-24-18-11 games in his four seasons. So other than a broken foot (which he's recovered from after being out for 15 weeks and was playing for the rest of the NRL season), he's not really has any significant time out of the season. Couple of niggles here and there which are part and parcel of the game.
Quote: General Zod. "33 year old with two broken legs, a broken arm (twice), bicep tear.'"
Scott Prince has barely missed a game in nearly 10 years. Bringing up broken legs from over 10 years ago is really desperate.
Basically, all you've got is a reaggrivated bicep tear because they brought him back too early and a broken arm. So he's missed about 25 games in 9 years (about 3 per season). I'd say that's a pretty good record. Played 22 games last season.
You can try all you like to paint FC's signings out to be injury ravaged crocks, but you're only highlighting your own envy.
If Hudge had the money, he'd have been after all of them.
