Probably wouldn't have happened if it was the same kit manufacturer. But both kits look fine, don't see an issue if Hull FC want to copy the mighty Vikings on their kit. Like a previous poster mentioned that's what the away strip is for

You will get clashes, because there are a number of teams in red and white, black and white, blue and yellow. It happens. That's why you have an away kit.

2. Yes, it's designed for clashes, but again, I'd still prefer it if teams didn't have identical kits. Can't see a problem with that opinion myself.
3. I'd prefer it if they didn't have identical designs, yes, but both teams have a history of playing in cherry and white hoops. Even then Leigh and Wigan have had very varying designs over the years. Neither Hull FC or Widnes traditionally play in black with white chevron, and it just seems a bit daft with only 14 teams to have a repeat kit design.


I think you're confusing colour clashes with identical kits. Either way I don't know why you're getting so worked up about it. ATEOTD I think it would be better if Hull and Widnes didn't both end up in black with white chevron - sorry if that upsets you.

I have no idea why you think it's an issue that both teams have a similar design. It's the exact reason why we have alternative strips.

And in a word more income. If every team got together and said no clashes there would not be a second shirt to sell.

Why are you making such fuss about this? Teams can design their kits however they want.

Haven't seen a bad SL kit yet but from the rumours going round, our away shirt could be vile, purple with a lightening flash.

Saints - Mainly white with red
Catalans - Mainly white with red (and a bit of yellow)
Hull KR - Mainly white with red
Wakefield - Mainly white with red and blue
Wigan - Red and white

So... How do you make 6 kits with similar colours that don't clash?...

Are you planning on buying both kits and are being put off? No.
Is it going to inconvenience you in any single way shape or form? No.
Will it impair the experience of anyone in the game whatsoever or effect any matches at all? No.

Why on earth do you even have an opinion about this?

I didn't realise anybody had said no kits should ever clash. And while I can't be bothered trawling through your posts I'm pretty sure in the past we've had a conversation where you've criticised teams having too similar kits (something along the lines of half the league playing in majority white one year).
