Really? or is it a simple question?
Arrogant post.
I personally dont believe there is a problem with stobart sponsoring SL, but i know that RL supporters love a conspiricy so will look deeper in to this that it needs to be...as the would if Simon Moran sponsored SL as i mentioned.

It wasn't arrogant. It's just lame the way people have to bring things to a personal level. What I'd think in that situation is completely irrelevant - it hasn't happened.

| So people can't discuss hypothetical things on this site?
You're discussing Stobart sponsoring Sl and that isn't official, so maybe you should hold your thoughts on this thread for a while.
It wasn't even a personal dig, i was just asking your thoughts.

On a cynical level does this mean Widnes can't lose there license in 3 yrs even if they are clearly the worst team? Providing Stobart are still the sponsor of both Widnes and SL in 2015!!'"
If that is the case, which it isn't, the RFL have both promoted the best all-round club to Super League, out of those who bid anyway, and brought in the best sponsor it has ever had, at the same time.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
Stobart may well advertise Super League on their livery. They have done it for the Widnes Vikings, with several cabs decked out with a massive Widnes Vikings logo. In fact, they're pretty much entirely Widnes Viking cabs, with the Stobart logo secondary.

| Can't see anything wrong with Stobart or Heinz, both big names and big local employers in the heartland.
It'd be ideal to get the Co-Op on board for the Challenge Cup, sponsorship by a uni is quite frankly a bit odd. I would hope that a larger national company with a solid national presence would be interested at least- the Co-Op, a well-known beer, Coca-Cola or even someone like AXA.

| Stobart would be the best of the bunch that have been rumoured. The Heinz 'Souper' League wasn't very easy on the ear.

| If it is Stobart, then that would be a real coup for Super League and rugby league. From some of the comments I've read, quite a few seem to think Stobart run half a dozen lorries up and down the M6. Stobart is a huge company dealing with air, road and rail distribution, property, land and sustainable energy among other interests.
I don't know if Stobart have a depot in London but they do own Southend airport (where a new rugby league club has just been launched) as well as Carlisle airport.

| Southend Spartacs for 2015!!!
Imagine how many people play the Eddie Stobart game whilst tootling along Britain's motorway. Now, you get an extra punch for spotting the Super League logo. This could finally launch Rugby League into the hearts and minds of the nations deprived people. Rugby League begins here folks. 2012: Year Zero.

| They could have 14 trucks each one dressed and named after a club for everyone to try and spot.

Warrington's truck would be massive and bedjazzled with massive neon lights.

They can discuss whatever they like, and I can call it bullsh*t whenever I like.
Conspiracy theories like this one are bone headed, especially because, if things come to pass, and stobart do become a sponsor, and we do keep hold of our franchise at the next round, people will start to honestly think back to this point, even if we flat out deserve to maintain our top flight status. It's not as if we're lucky to get one this time around. It's about bloody time.
