that last page was the biggest tripe ive ever read.
some of you lot dont deserve to be RL fans, jeeze you whinge and moan.
SL is going great guns. if you arent happy with it, go and watch soccer'"
Think your a bit out of order there Dally, the likes of Halifax,Widnes,Leigh have got a lot of history in RL and they have as much right as anyone else to have an opinion and to go and tell them to watch soccer is very arrogant.

| It's true though.
I do enjoy watching RL at all levels and my post earlier was a bit cheeky more than anything but Chp standard rugby is not as entertaining as SL. People say it's more free flowing but i'd rather (as should most people) watch structured attack and defense anyday over the chp who, lets be honest, are just turning into poor SL clones as every year goes by in an atmosphereless cesspit.

I didn't see much of a structured defence from Hull KR last night.

| It was a poor game, Hull KR are a very average team and it doesn't exactly back up my argument.
Until you watch a game like Wigan/Wire et al

If that's the choice in Paris, I'd rather promote someone else. Thanks for helping make my point.
Have you?
I don't see any mention in there about the NRL, or about dropping other plans. You mentioned about what you'd do to expand into a tough market. Not that you'd pick that over expanding into planned market with less glamour but more chance of success.
Just answer the question rather than do your usual "dodging the bullet" style replies which don't get anybody anywhere. If a S14 team from South Africa decided they wanted an NRL team, would you cancel all your expansion plans and let them in over the rest?'"
just for you wellesey because you cant read, i would support a SA NRL license but not at the cost of our planned expansion, which is exactly what ive argued here, but you are too thick to work out.
its like having teeth pulled out i tell you

I'm on board with what you're saying. Obviously SL is a higher standard and class of RL to the lower leagues. That doesn't mean that some people should be castigated for preferring to watch the lower leagues though. Quite frankly, i love my Sundays and i get a massive amount of enjoyment from what my club offer on the pitch. I also enjoy watching SL on TV.

Tell you what, go to a live Championship game as I can't think of a single one that is an "atmosphereless cesspit". I've seen some bloody crackin' games in this league so far this year.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

So you have been paying attention after all , But dont think you'll draw me into a duscussion about a match that will be a one sided blow out contested by players I have little interest in
I did however attend the NC GF at Widnes yesterday between the top 2 amatuer sides in the UK , A good honest game of RL
You're still funny , but I must congratulate you on being to draw so many people into your crazy arguments when it is quite plain you havent a clue what you are talking about

Nowt to do with Leigh winning, I've been to Halifax-Sheffield, Widnes-Fev and Halifax-Barrow and they were all very good games with a decent atmosphere.

Leyther Matt is a proper Rugby League fan. He watches other teams as a neutral with alarming regularity. He was due to come and watch Fax v Batley but when we screwed that up he went to watch the Crusaders instead. Maybe he should stay at home and watch it on telly instead eh?
(If my memory is lacking - it may have been another Leigh fan - Frank B? The point still stands though).

| Superleague in Paris failed last time. Apart from Stade looking at Quins Union/League set up and seeing a 52 week opportunity, there is no other tangible reason to transplant a team into Paris again.
There are many on here who will vouch if Tooloose (sic) are ready for SL....but I would suspect not given they are not looking like winning anything between now and Licence time. There crowds are fairly good for CH footie, but it may take them another 3 years to get a decent financial pitch together. If Tooloose get in ahead of Widnes this time it will make a mockery of the RFL's conditions of entry.
Back to Stade........IF they are serious, then they should request entry into the Championship and see how they go for 3 years.....but transplanting teams into non League areas is a long term strategy that Superleague doesn't need to repeat just yet. Paris failed last time, Gateshead and Cumbria weren't a success either and depending on who you talk to, the jury's still out on London.
I have no doubt that if run properly and started from the Championship, a parisian League team will be ready for SL in 5 or 6 years....juat not yet.
