salfords finances are quite poor.
if you cant work that out, well you should read more.

Toulouse's finances have been documented in the sense that they've talked to the media about what budget they expected to have, taking into account the expected money from local government and sponsors. The pound has dropped thirty percent against the euro over the past year, so I suspect they'd look a much better bet now than they did when the franchise decisions were made. Their ticket prices are higher than either the local football and rugby union teams, which is an interesting decision. And as some French fans have pointed out, they could definitely have put together a side that would have at least matched Celtic Crusaders record thus far.

He was a police bureaucrat. But I thought that he was still in some capacity. I have not been down there, or talked to him about that, for over a year so I am not 100% certain on that.

Can you elaborate on that? I assume that you mean that it is not as strong a team as he could have put together.

He retired at 55, which is compulsory in the french police. He was an inspector in the national force and head of a team of detectives, before moving at the end of his career into a role associated with reducing sports related violence (on and off field).

I think, in their ironic, gallic fashion, they were observing that Celtic had lost 8 from 8 and that Toulouse could've managed to do that, too.

Are Toulouse more sustainable than Salford? Do they have better revenues or lower operating costs?

The way he (and quite a few other people) goes on and on, you'd think he does.

without a new stadium salford cant spend the full salary cap.
indeed in recent seasons theyve spent as little as 1.2 million on players when the top clubs spend 1.8 million
salford have a chairman whose been backing them for 2 decades but thats all they have
their crowds are poor.
the timeline for the new stadium has been constantly put back and is in some doubt

Still talking s[ihite[/i and not backing up with any financial data on both clubs. If you can't substantiate the drivel that you put on here then don't waste our time trolling.

Oh dear. How embarrassing. Clueless. Do you know the Shareholder Capital of Toulouse? Do you know the Shareholder Capital of Salford? Do you even know the turnover of each club? These are just the basic numbers you'd need to come up with to back up what you're saying in previous posts. Trot along and do some research and come back when you know what you're talking about.

I can see all this for myself. Where is the evidence that Toulouse would be better? Do they have the crowds to enable them to spend more money on players, or are they going to be as reliant on the finances of a wealthy benefactor?
It's all well and good having a pit of money to dip into, whenever a club needs to sign a new player, but I think it's more important for clubs to be sustainable. What would happen if the pit of money dried up? I'm not convinced that Toulouse are more sustainable than Salford.
