Quote: M62 J30 TRINITY "Sad to see fans of other clubs desperately filled with false outrage of a bit of a nothing disturbance, hoping for points deduction, record fines, expulsion from the game, playing behind closed doors. Some people must lead very sheltered lives, You see fans goading other sets of fans then cry like babies to stewards send emails to the RFL get their phones out etc post on forums when they get a response, hoping that club gets fine etc. That's the mindset of some of the so called RL family.'"

Oh get over yourself.

Many fans do not want this culture to creep into our game and prefer to see it clamped down upon to send a clear message.

Ironically, you talk about the "RL family" when the intention is to keep Rugby League a family game.

Ban anyone involved in Saturday's trouble, end of. Some of the overreaction on here about the pitch invasion ia ridiculous though, it's happened forever in sport, it's the d1ckheads fighting which is the issue. Tell me one teams fans that wouldn't have ran on celebrating in such crazy/unlikely circumstances? Maybe Wigan's who'd have been out the ground with 10 minutes left....icon_wink.gif

Btw, Perry Mason aka Nottingham Tiger..... have witnessed on numerous occasions your "angelic" fams causing grief at games. Magic last year being one and also a group of bearded numpties at the AJ Bell last year, one of which was promptly put in his place for his incessant goading.

I don't condone any of the cr@p on Saturday, we have some prize tools supporting our club but to label the whole set of fans as thugs is narrow-minded and just shows certain posters inability to use logic instead of letting their dislike of a club/owner cloud their judgment.

Quote: Bal "To add to the bottle throwing incident, on a video sharing site there is a video that shows multiple instances of fighting breaking out, including by and against women after the Hull KR and Salford game. It also shows an unprovoked attack and a person (looks like a Salford fan) being kicked on the ground.

I don't want to run salt in the wound, but there imo absolutely needs of be action taken against both clubs, but especially Hull KR for completely inadequate stewarding in letting the pitch be invaded and then allowing several fights to break out and continue.

Could Hull KR be starting their Champtonship life with point deductions?'"

Did you also see the Salford fans in no colours with hooded jackets pulled over their faces, bit like football thugs as it was well organised. Did you also see the incident where one of these non-shirted thugs ran 30 yards and punched a young Hull KR fan from behind who was completely unaware of what was coming and was not even involved in any way with the fighting, an act of pure cowardice. Maybe your eyes were shut at the moment of these incidents. The young lad is my grandson and was terrified after what happened. The bloke who hit him was in his thirties at a guess. While there is no excuse for a pitch invasion, at Hull KR it is a tradition that fans run to the edge to hopefully get a selfie with the players, this is where he was when the cowards ran across the pitch, he was facing the stand with his back to the pitch.

There were plenty of stewards on duty as well as police, but when you are confronted by hundreds of running grown men at once it is difficult to prevent.

It was quite alarming at the number of grown men following Salford (won't call them fans) dressed in clothing with no club attachment and that allowed faces to be covered, it was reminiscent of EDL and BNP types.

You were the topic starter I believe? Who perchance do you support? I saw the whole thing first hand and fists and feet were flying everywhere.i have no doubt how it started then after what seemed a while the police stormed on and took out anyone who was fighting.i can understand the depth of feeling and the urge to celebrate after pulling off that comeback but I am of the opinion once any fan goes on the pitch they should be banned . unenforceable nowadays when you see promotion games etc and may seem harsh when many were genuinely celebrating but it could have triggered a much bigger amount of fans from East stand entering pitch.will be interesting to see how rfl and police apportion blame?

Leeds? Ryan Hall's last second effort that sunk Hudds and gave Leeds the LLS last year? And despite their own title hopes being sunk in such devastating circs the Hudds lot felt no need to behave in a bad way. Without getting hysterical about things I don't think pitch invading can be condoned; what follows is all too predictable.

Watch the video footage again, watch the second video from around the 1https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/salford-brawl-million-pound-game-11967684#rlabs

I'd engage your brain before commenting in future.

I support Hull FC.

Banning people from entering the pitch to celebrate would be over the top, although I do agree it is unacceptable. Banning people for fighting is, in my opinion, the correct course of action. The severity of the ban should be proportionate in my opinion. The clubs themselves have a responsibility as well, and the host certainly have a responsibility to fan safety and the games reputation through providing adequate health and safety measures like good stewarding. Where this is shown to be inadequate, as I believe is the case here, then the action should be taken against the club as well. Again, imo, this should be proportionate, ranging from a suspended fine through to point deductions.

For what it's worth, while I say this is all my opinion, I've pretty much described the RFL's position.

I suspect KR will cop the blame for inadequate stewarding. If the Salford fans could have been prevented from going on the pitch, the KR fans would have stayed in theirs, and all we'd be talking about would be an epic end to a tense game.

Oh, well that's ok then, I'm sure lots of families with kids will be happy to know that RL is a game played in front of mindless yobs who think goading ,swearing and fighting with opposition fans is acceptable.
Grow up.
It wasn't a "nothing disturbance" it was a disturbance which should not be accepted by anyone who claims to be a rugby league fan, it was a disturbance that had it happened it football would see the clubs likely receiving big fines and having to close their stadiums, RL can ill afford to have stadiums closed due to "nothing disturbances", RL can ill afford having to lose out on potential supporters and sponsors because they don't want to be associated with a sport followed by hooligans and yobs who think fighting on the pitch is fine.
Pathetic post.

Not quite the same, but similar circumstances, and yet not one Huddersfield fan ran onto the pitch last week, so maybe it's the mindset of certain supporters?

I knew that.iv told you what I saw with my own eyes not selected video clips.im in no doubt that group of large men and feral chav were of a mind to go on the pitch and get stuck into a fight most not wearing colour they were straining to get on ground level as time drew down.the last 2 minutes saw an amazing turnaround and joyous times for Salford fans.i state again I have no doubt that group of initial fans were going to riot it was just a quirk they actually won.i do however agree fans of any club fighting must be banned

Quote: Maccbull_BigBullyBooaza "Wouldn't it be libel if it's on an Internet message board? It's got to be untrue and it is true that Wakefield fans were hit with a suspended fine following offensive chanting. But please feel free to talk to a solicitor about it.

Nice bloke councilor Box. The cold store is just another example of businesses moving into Wakefield and creating jobs. If you've got a problem with that you're a very strange human being.'"

Never said it wasn't true, indeed half a dozen beer addled pre pubescent teenagers threatened civilisation and it's incumbent tolerance by giving a lame rendition of a juvenile chant. As ISIS slaughter there way through the middle east, as black peopled are daily gunned down in America, as the NHS crumbles, as China continually pays it's people slave wages to fill your house with cheap goods please forgive me if I found the whole issue utterly trivial at the time and still do. If that indifference to a vital non incident makes me a racist then you your ilk need help.

It's slander against my character, because it's on the internet it's neither the spoken or printed word it's both - slander happens to be the easier to prove so if I were to hunt you down like the dog you are that's the one I'd go with. c020.gif

Again I accuse you of of being a liar, you've never met Box nor have anything to do with the Cold store at NM, it's just bit's you've picked up on this daft forum - please you're fooling no one. Nor have you proved my alleged racism, condoning of violence and my sexism (you forgot that one silly boy).

Why you think most Trinity fans have an issue with the Cold store is beyond me as it has no bearing on our stadium at NM in case that's what you are rather foolishly inferring. Some local residents objected and frankly I don't blame them given the size of it but that would be expected in Wakefield or other civilised areas where it is a blight on the landscape - something it wouldn't be in Bradford (probably be an improvement).

We all have a minority, unfortunately.
However, what you haven't seen is our supporters entering the field of play en masse and fighting (despite the provocation Of Widnes "fans" at the end of the cup semi-final in 2014).
In similar circumstances when Wakefield relegated us, not a single Castleford fan entered the field of play (again, despite provocation from a minority of Wakefield "fans"icon_wink.gif.

I'd be more embarrassed that some Salford "fans" saw clinging to super league status by the skin of their teeth as a reason to celebrate so wildly. Who knows what will happened if you ever win anything??!!!

Thats not strictly true, yes there was some provocation but the main reason no Cas fans got on the field was for one the North terrace has a relatively high fence and two a huge number of stewards were stationed along it.

It's hard to say how Cas fans would have reacted without those barriers but I seriously doubt a few wouldn't have indulged. Though most Cas fans as indeed most Wakefield fans acted in a restrained manner it was the well organised stewarding rather than anything special about Cas fans that stopped it escalating.

If you recall in 2004 a large group of Cas fans stormed across the pitch to confront the Wakefield end, luckily a combination of stewards, players and calmer heads stopped them from causing mayhem by finally stopping them 20 yards from the Wakefield end. Ditto 2011 when the lights went out at the Jungle and Cas fans attacked Trinity fans outside the Early Bath.

So please desist with this noble Cas fan routine or is it just strange how trouble follows your club around.
