The game needs foundations and those foundations are the Juniors and the Parents that decide to put their kids into a Sport at Junior level they are comfortable with.

In Australia, the AFL, Soccer and even Union Clubs all compete at junior levels with programs like Auskick against League.

Times have changed where people will not have their kids in a sport that allows thuggery or condones dangerous play.

When I played the game there was as much fighting as play (it was a low grade)

Maybe not in Yorkshire and East Hull, but it will in many areas.
