There was nothing free about it. Thats why you sold your ground becuase of the massive debts you had and are now tennets in a ground which doesn't want you. You bought your success and sold your souls.
You continue with the arrogrance that you are above the rules and that RL would be nothing without you. In truth RL doesn't need wigan as much as wigan needs RL. |

Nobody consistently picked for the Aus national team is anything less than an excellent player. The difference between the Kings and Carmonts of this world is that the latter are solid and reliable, where the former are solid and reliable AND capable of those bits of magic that provide the 5% difference that separates the best players from the normal players. That 5% is what it takes to be successful.
Nobody, outside the Warrington club top management, knows how much King is earning. One thing is for sure, the Wire, unlike certain pie-eating clubs, does not break the salary cap and the devil take the hindmost.

Slightly OTT. I dont believe in all this bought our success rubbish you look at the players that played for Wigan during that glorious era. The vast majority came through the Wigan academy and wanted to play for Wigan.

IIRC O'Connor, Gregory and Platt were all bought from other clubs. Platt came through the Saints acadamy, O'Connor was a Salford player and Gregory was playing for either Widnes or Wire. |
