As it did not happen I think we are 95% sure he is off to the NRL.

The only question is who do we replace him with.

Just announced by Peter Badel, chief rugby league correspondent for the Brisbane Courier Mail, on Fox Sports Australia's TV show NRL 360, that Justin Holbrook has been asked to apply for the coaching position at Gold Coast Titans. But the same correspondent also said that he thought that Kevin Walters was the favourite for the position.

So Holbrook is in the mix, but probably not favourite.

He has made Johnny Lomax the best 6 in super league, our 2 wingers the best 2 wingers in SL and our pack, the best pack in SL for years. Plus he is a thoroughly likeable bloke who doesn’t need to resort to grub tactics like Lam, price.

It’s easy to see why NRL teams are falling over themselves to sign him. He’s a once in a generation coach
