was really looking forward to this game. local derby, fighting for a sf spot and both sides with a week off next week.

It was an awful quality game and not for the first time this season a "big game" has been nothing but poor quality riddled with errors.

The "big game" Wigan v Saints was one of the the worse games this season for handling errors seemed like a bar of soap in the shape of a rugby ball. It had been raining all day at the DW stadium yet I believe they still watered the pitch for some reason.

This expectation that games between top teams should always be wonderful flowing rugby is utter nonsense. Why should they?

Is it not possible that circumstances decree it just won't be, like cancelling each other out, trying too hard, not trying to lose/tactical influences, weather influences, physical/mental fatigue setting in at the back end of the season.

How many times do you witness two top teams play each other in any sport you care to name and sometimes it's a damp squib...a lot is the answer.

There have been some awesome games this year, saying it's the worst season ever and similar bollox happens every season.
