| This is the game that could define Wakefields season. if they win it will relieve the pressure a bit and put down a marker to the rest of the teams in the relegation dogfight. Lose and they really are in the mire.

| This is the game that could determine Wakefield's fate, especially if London can defeat Jackson Hastings on the weekend. If St Helens and London win, then Wakefield is in great danger of relegation.

| I cannot see beyond a Saints victory but think it might be closer than most expect.

If losing to Saints, on their own ground, with pretty much a full strength squad to choose from, is going to define Trinity's season then, it's all over.
Thankfully, this game WONT define our season but, you know this already

"It's the refs fault again". Biggest moaning whingers in RL.: |
|
| No doubt even if St Helens rack up a cricket score tonight the Wakey fans will find some way to blame the match official. Par for the course with them, to be fair.
And just remember Saints fans, when Wakefield get relegated it will, apparently, be all the fault of YOUR club and not down to a season full of crap 'performances' from this side whose fans told everyone not so long ago were an established top five outfit.

| Wakefield are absolutely appalling. No Coote, Lomax, Walmsley, Grace or Knowles and it was just as comfortable as the Halifax game. Dreadful team who I would love to see go down.

A cricket score there was no chance of that I don't know where they dug this referee up from but that was the slowest PTB with the flopathon, offsides, head tackles anything to just spoil the game. We even had a penalty kick to touch and we had a Wakey player trying to obstruct the kick from 2 metres away.
As for Wakey they never really looked like getting over the whitewash and struggled for metres, the try they got in the last 2 mins was a scramble affair and disappointing from the Saints players perspective.

I hope that St Helens wins everything this season. St Helens deserve it, and it will be a great tribute to the Trent Robinson nurtured protege coach Justin Holbrook if they do.
I also hope that either Wakefield or Salford are relegated because I believe that both teams contribute little to the popularity of our game in the UK. They have small fan bases, and in the case of Wakefield a terrible stadium. As for Salford, their fan base appears to be tiny.
At the same time, we need a professional team in London, plying its trade in Super League, to attract southern youth to play junior rugby league. I think that this matter is very important, even though I recognise that London's fan base is small and its stadium not up to standard. Moreover, having the prestigious and instantly recognisable name of London still in Super League when Toronto joins the competition, at a time when most existing Super League clubs are small towns or pit villages, will boost the prestige of Super League in north America.

We get it by the way. 'STRALIA has a better TV deal but that's because 'STRALIA has little else to offer for sports fans, but in reality they have little more over the brits than a bigger player pool. Once you're average Oker mum figures out soccer is bigger and more lucrative, you and your vicatrian friends will see player numbers fall. On-line gambling will replace the pokies that prop you up and association football will swallow you whole. Your crowds will tire of triple headers, boring match ups like parra and canberra attracting fewer than 5,400....a crowd you yourself decries if it's in the SL.
