He played well. Hodgson is doing better than expected but his defence is being found out a bit. Tomkins had his best game for warriors since joining them. Cooper is avg. read is not playing well at moment. Tom burgess is improving but not as good as george. Luke is avg.

Samuel Tomkins was on the shortlist for the prestigious Mazda BT-50 Man of the Match, worth $1,000. Unfortunately the judges baulked at giving two prizes in one afternoon to Englishmen, and at the last minute gave it to a sombre Kiwi named Benjamin Matulino. Cooper's better than average, at least as far as the Dragons pack is concerned.

Michael Cooper is not average, and I am not comparing him with the other Dragons forwards, but rather with the NRL standard in general. He is a good player. Not a champion like Greg Inglis or Johnathan Thurston. Not even a very good player like Jesse Bromwich or George Burgess, but nevertheless a good player. Cooper is a quality level better than Lucas Burgess, who is definitely average.

Huh? He's made 59 tackles and missed 3. His defence is fine. He actually pulled off a one-on-one strip last night too.

Hodgson has been very impressive in both games. Seems to have slotted in seamlessly and confidently
