You've missed the weather Keith. What was the temperature in the respective years? Was it warmer last year as opposed to this year? Last year we were 2 months off a Royal Wedding - this helped to get everyone in a Rugby mood. There are many factors to consider other than simply counting attendances.

Hull's crowd was our lowest since 2006 I do believe. However scheduling the least attractive fixture on the calendar on a freezing cold February Sunday night, live on SKY was never going to attact a big crowd.

Catalan crowd can probably be put down to freezing temperatures down there + doubts over whether the fixture would actually take place + kick off time being changed. plain bad crowd at Widnes though...

Poor attendances across the board there, shame really. A lot of long distance games though.

I thought Widnes was a hotbed of Rugby League and that the crowds were going to come flocking to the Stobart Stadium now Superleague has returned?

On a serious note, I think this will be a lean year for Superleague attendances. The Olympics and Euro 2012 is going to hit us hard come summer.

Liverpool were at home today weren't they? That might have had a slight effect on the Widnes attendance.

How come KR Saints was so much down? I'd guess Cas didn't take as many to France this time around, played them in late June last year

Some really poor attendances there. Bradford v Wigan was the Bulls first home game last year with the cheap season tickets and we were champions at the time, it was always going to be lower but I didn't expect by so many.

I though Rovers usually got over 8k!

Very poor attendance in France. I expected much better than that. They will have a good side this year though, they will pull some great crowds in summer.

Why is it a poor attendance ? Catalans home games tend to follow a pattern this time of the season are usually the lowest attendances. Typically the best crowds occur when there is not competition from other sports and the weather means English use the game as an excuse for a long weekend. The attendance this weekend was better than expected particularly given how fickle Catalan supporters are.

I was under the impression Hull KR are on with ground imrovements and there capacity has been reduced due to this. But i'm not 100% sure

I dont think you can simply compare to the game last year, so many thing like time of year, weather, form etc

Bring back P&R, half the clubs have nothing to play for for 3 years.

Obviously we're not in a recession with people feeling the pinch and/or out of work, we've not had some pretty cold unappestising weather and the soccer season has finished already, absolutely no reason whatsoever why attendances will be effected
