| Very infuriating game.
We played poor.
Wigan were crap but extremely niggly (surprise) and trying to bend the rules as much as possible and injured two if our players in the process.
The ref let them.
The VR didn't help much with the Tomkins try.
Tomkins is an annoying tw@.
And the most frustrating thing is it gives Agar an excuse. We were saying before the game that we'd rather Wigan destroy us than beat us in a close game. Hull's attack is awful. Totally hopeless. We could sign the best players in the world, but Agar can't make them play good attacking rugby. This result makes them seem not bad, but they were.

not going to defend AGAR but with your key playmaker injured i thought you did pretty well.
If anyone was to blame it was O Meley who seemed to drop the ball everytime you tried to exert some pressure.

| Hull over the last couple of games have looked OK until they get to the opponents 20- they seem to run out of ides.
The switch ball back inside(which seems to be the main move!) will not confuse a local team never mind Leeds/Wigan

Why not? It was the correct decision.

| I'm a big admirer of Wigan but in this game we again had an attack around the knees resulting in Moa leaving the game injured.
We've got to cut that crap out of the game before someone's career is ended.

I think they are clamping down on this in Australia. I suppose the problem is that if the attacker is still pumping the legs, and we admire that, a defender is allowed to stop it. So does it mean that attackers will stop trying to drive forward, to either avoid getting crippled or to get a penalty? It will certainly mean earlier shouts of held, which penalises an off-loading forward like Solomona, and teams like Leeds built their games on off-loads a few years ago.
Has anything good for the game ever come out of Melbourne?

Too right. I can't believe no-one was binned last night, the ref was a joke and Wigan's tactics were a disgrace.

| Surely the elbow/hand in the neck when getting off someone is just as bad? How long before a neck is broken....

Once upon a time you were mean't to tackle the legs.........
My son had his first training session for the new season this morning, guess what, they were teaching him to tackle around the legs ?!?!?!?

Doesn't really account for knocking on though.
Hull were fairly unlucky last night, had it not been for some of the worst kamikaze plays in a long while they could have even won.

I bet they werent teaching them to tackle the knee as third man in though. It cowardly, its not needed, its not difficult, impressive or worthwhile. The game would lose nothing by getting rid of it.
The one and only reason you would tackle a player around the knee as third man in is to increase the chances of that players suffering a knee injury.
