Oh no not £25 whole pounds?! How will you all afford it? Maybe you could take on a paper round? Seriously, a tank of petrol costs £50. Me going to Spurs v Fulham on Weds costs me £35. Get over it.

| London Harlequins RL struggle to get a couple of thousand in to watch when they charge a tenner.
So charging £25 for a ticket to watch the same old lifeless dross in front of an empty stadium combined with an extra 80 mins watching union isn't going to have them queueing down the M25 is it.
A terrible, terrible idea from a clueless club who are taking their last breath.
Its almost like the people that run Harlequins RL actually WANT the club to fail.
Unbelievable.

| Which game is being played first? If it's the union I doubt many of them will hang around to watch the League, especially if they lose.

| I,ve just found out from the clubs that the Harlequins are charging Student Prices of £20 whether you watch 1 game or 2. There is a 2 hour gap between the union game finishing and league starting, so if you arrive early for the league game expect car transport/parking delays.
It does make you wonder whether they really want league down there. Are they treating League with contempt by "shoe horning" a rugby league game after a re-arranged union fixture game, which was originally a league fixture.

| The most tickets will probably be sold to union fans so maybe thats what they usually charge for a Harlequins RU game.

| AS I HAVE POSTED ON THE SAINTS BOARD
Quote: gutterfax "OK.....I am not going to appologise for the situation surrounding this game and those that have seen my many posts regarding the way the club is run can tell you I am no fan of the current situation at Twickenham Stoop, but I will say this.
St Helens fans have not been singled out for this attention. The fact is, the Union lot own the ground and they had to reschedule the Leeds game. Therefore, Quins RL have a need to keep their landlords sweet and agreed to the double header. I very much doubt, that given the opportunity to pi55 off away fans we thought it would be a good idea to chose the second biggest draw (traditionally) in London.
Next up, the club have to concede that there are 14,500 regular Union fans who will want to see the Leeds game and therefore the ticketing needs to be consistent with what these fans pay. Therefore, ( IMO) it was decided than rather deal with a set of 14k fans leaving moving against a set of say 5,000 arriving would present a Health and Safety + logistical nightmare. So, they have decided to offer both games at the knock-down price of £25 rather than £40 for the two individually.
I fully understand that Saints fans are pi55ed off. Believe me, I stirred up a 5hit storm last year when Sky shafted us by moving the game in France and I know that it might feel like you are being victamised, but you are not. Simple financial constraints placed on the club by the Union lot and the bad weather that caused the original leeds game to be cancelled have caused this......and I am sure the club are not impressed either.
It is not a money making excercise by Harlequins Rugby League, but an accommodation that had to be made. I really hope that those Saints fans who now don't make the trip down still consider coming back next year......you really are a good laugh and I always enjoyed drinking with you before and after the games.
Good luck for the rest of the season (except the double header of course)'"
So there you have it....either pay the £25 or let know Quins RL what you think by not turning up.

| I'm not going, doesn't sound fun. Quins won't be around come the next round of franchise applications anyway, they're already gone.

Really.....how so?
I am all for debating why they might not get a licence next time around, but if they are already gone, surely someone should tell David Hughes before he forks out any more money. Gone you say? Please expand.
It is my considered opinion that they will score the same points as last time, so unless the good citizens of Wakey, Cas and Salford start laying bricks NOW, they will be in the same company. Then, with Cas and Wakey finishing above us....it's between us and Salford........and we have finished above them last year and there's a long way to go this year. Even if they do get a nice new stadium......leigh will tell you what that counts for.
Sorry.......but the RFL would not be stupid enough to already have made a decision and told you saddened....and I am not saying it won't happen, just that it hasn't happened yet.

I'm yet to see you make a single post I agree with in the slightest on the subject of franchises. This one is terrible, has the decision already been made then?

Sorry for the reference to st Helens moaning about the price of goods when we all know....just like the union stereotype of tarquins that they are all theiving scum
WRONG WRONG WRONG......vote with your feet, or complain, but stop being keyboard warriors..FFS......it might be time to do credit card membership on these boards....just to prove someone is posting an "experience" rather than what their grandad told them.

Gutters I am personally outraged at this news. How can the club get away with this?
I'm going to start a facebook group to protest vehemently about this.
By god I might even try and remember my Twitter account password and vent my spleen on there as well.
Harlequins RL arent going to get away with this one I can tell you.
I'm raging
<--see? Thats me being mad at the club.

the main stand at Saints is sold out pretty much every week - suggesting that the pricing for that area of the ground is correct.
be interesting to see how many Saints fan travel down, how many Quins RL fans there are, and how many RU fans sit around for 2 hours waiting for the RL.
It does seem a strange policy though to increase prices when demand is so low - even with the RU game to squeeze in first.
