| 2 days too late tut tut
On the game from a Leeds perspective it’s more a case of hope than expectation to get something from this game. Very tough one to start with a team that’s going to be a work in progress. If we can be competitve and show some promising signs then a defeat certainly won’t be a problem.
That may well be the story of our opening 8 rounds - 6 away games against Wire, Wigan, Saints, Catalans, Hull & Salford - means we’ll probably have lost more than we’ve won by the end of that spell. However if we show something that we can take forward and keep ourselves within touching distance of the Top 5 then we’ll be the team to watch in the 2nd half of the season, especially the final 8 games when we have 6 home games and our 2 away fixtures are London & Huddersfield.

| I'm hopeful Leeds will make a fist of it though don't see us beating a top team away just yet. Mind you, I suppose there's a chance wire won't quite hit their straps first game out. A bit of cohesion in the backs would be a welcome sight because if we don't threaten there we may not threaten at all.

| That's a nightmare start to a season.
You have to wonder what a string of losses so early in a season would do for confidence and morale at Leeds.
If they can pick up a couple of wins in that lot, I'd call that a result and not get too crushed about league position.

What could work to our advantage is Warrington not knowing much about how Furner’s Leeds will play as they’ve only got a couple of friendlies to look at. Tricky to plan for, but then again Leeds have to execute for that to count.

I don’t think it’ll hit confidence and morale providing we compete ok because they’ll perfectly understand the circumstances of the fixtures and how it’ll work back into their favour later in the year. It’ll only happen really if we take a few bad performing heavy losses.

| New season, same old Eddie. 80 mins of jizzing himself over SLs most overrated player in Jack Walker.

| I see it didn't take Konrad Hurrell long to discover Greggs. Looks about 3 stone overweight.

| Spending marquee money on a centre is questionable anyway but spending it on Hurrell was stupid. He looks overweight and is too obsessed with just charging at everyone. No doubt Warrington are better than Leeds but Kendall is a joke with the amount of soft penalties. Also, Patton and Handley are dreadful.

| Wire is just making more meters down the middle, their offload game is causing problems and generally look more organised so far.

| Great officiating by Kendall there, despite Chris 'no way' Hill's objections.
