| I don't see why we cannot have Dublin, New York and Belgrade all included in League One by 2020. Especially so if we expect an ambitious and glamourous New York to catapault into the Championship in 2021, and Super League in 2022. Belgrade and Dublin would be expected to rise up more slowly because of a lack of financial backing that New York would have.

It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"
If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

| And how do we expect all these part time players in the lower leagues to take all the time off work to go to the away games?

It takes under 1 hour to fly to Dublin, they could travel there and back on the same day if they wish.

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |
|
| Good luck to them seem to be going about it the right way with Irish players I do hate grounds with a running track around them though

so.... 2 things immediately stand out:
1 "we've got a business plan".....and
2. " I’m told the RFL knows of people in Ireland willing to invest in rugby league."
Let's start with #2. The RFL don't know anyone in West Yorkshire willing to invest in RL, let alone Ireland .....and this leads all the way back to #1......if this guy's got a business plan, why does he need the RFL to help him get introductions to the finance guys?
Like the Huddersfield gym teacher and some time on-line brochure printers dreams of NYC, this will disappear up it's own 'arris as quick as you can say " 8 ero for a pint....bloomin' 'eck"
As for the rest of the article (sic) and the places named....C1 sides are predominantly made up of part-time players and full-time workers......making them visit every city mentioned in the 1979 chart buster, Pop Muzik by Electro-dance outfit "M" is a non starter. An away-day traveling contingent of say 30 including physios etc will set you back £15,000 to Dublin and back to Leeds and that's with Ruinair, who are not likely to offer free flights for sponsorship to an audience who book their holidays after searching for £5 flights......and will never pay a premium

| As much as I'd love to see an Irish team in the league the harsh reality is that there just isn't the interest to make it sustainable. Your also competing with Union, Football and GAA.

Perhaps the people investing in a club in the Irish Capital don’t want to invest in a club in a small Northern town.
Why wasn’t David Argyle interested in taking over Salford or Leigh? You’d have to ask him, but he’s certainly willing to pump his money into The Toronto Wolfpack, when he wasn’t willing to do that for those other clubs.

Who are these investors?
The quote states that "I’m told the RFL knows of people in Ireland willing to invest in rugby league.".......why does he ramble on about having a business plan, looking for a tie in with an airline sponsor to cover costs and if final proof were needed that the business plan is written on the back of a beer-mat, we have " and every major company has offices in Dublin".....a statement that is both vague and pointing to this being an idea and a non sustainable one at that.......for example, I'd counter that London has more corporate HQ's of international Giants than Dublin has satellite offices of those companies
Quote: Sir Kevin Sinfield "Why wasn’t David Argyle interested in taking over Salford or Leigh? You’d have to ask him, but he’s certainly willing to pump his money into The Toronto Wolfpack, when he wasn’t willing to do that for those other clubs.'"
David Argyle was sold an idea by Perez.....the absence of Perez from the club as early as yer 2 as well as the apparent disputes regarding various suppliers and flights back into Glasgow point to not everything being rosy at Toronto, who also whined about the expense of the qualifiers if they weren't allowed play in blocks of 4 games.....Argyle is minted and will maybe hang around, but only as long as he gets his way and there are plenty of strong chairmen and owners in SL already......as MarwanK discovered.
Happy to proven wrong, but there's not the audience for RL in Dublin, especially as they'll be a team made up of 80% failed Union players......

| Oh...the choice of name will alienate the other 31 counties. The Dublin GAA side play in Blue......

So do Cavan, Longford, Laois, Tipperary and Wicklow.

Why do RLfans always claim we have the greatest game on earth, but dismiss out of hand RL’s chance of success outside the m62 corridor. That’s something I’ve never been able to understand.

Correct Kev, I regularly fly out on the 6:40 from Leeds Bradford, Manchester or Liverpool to Dublin and return at around tea time.
Most the time you’ll get it for £20 as well!

How about passport control, security checks and baggage reclaim?
