I imagine most people hate Man Utd because of their success over the years.
People must hate Leigh for some other reason.

2 individual followers of Leigh Centurions,for example,starting threads on the VT about people disliking Leigh,and why 'everybody' hates them.

Maybe with Leigh it's pity or maybe smugness rather than hate given the money they have spent, the message they have spun and the failure that has prevailed. Who knows??
Utd are a big club, who have had lots of success and its typically British to follow the underdog!
I hate Wigan!
