Want to see more long passes, RU is in attack more or less 12-a-side as the 2 props and usually 1 second-row aren't in the attack much. It would help teams like Tonga, Samoa and Fiji if it was 11-a-side too, and England. Think J Lomax would be a five-eighth in 11-a-side, with S Tomkins in the halves. Sounds exciting. Z Hardaker at fullback.

I quite like this idea.

If we used a round ball and then kicked it instead of picking it up that would help.

I also think that from an ecological point of view and to save trees we could shorten the height of the posts to crossbar level.

If we put a net on at the back of the posts that would stop the rubbish kid having to go and get the ball all the time.

They trialled 11 a side in under 20s in Australia about 5 years ago.
I went to one of the games, which were held between sides that couldn't make the finals in the last few rounds of the comp.
You really couldn't see much difference in the general play, but a lot of tries were scored because the defence was very stretched.

The good points are that less players in tackles (because the defence is spread thin) means less injuries. Any good attacking moves are generally rewarded with tries, and also, less players would be needed in squads, simply because you only need 15 fit players each week instead of 17.

As I said, it is hard to see a difference in general play - just more breaks happen and more tries are scored.

If you want to see basketball like scores switch to 11 a side. I don't.

I personally am happen with the balance of the game at the moment, with probably just minor tinkering required.
I don't want to see scores of 98 to 92 etc.

you won't, fine go to 12-a-side, but I want to get rid of "scrums". They're a farce.

Also I want to ban the drop-goal, and instead of a goal line drop-out have a goal-line pass-out (it has to be an under the shoulder pass).
