He's certainly an enthusiastic trier, but it's just a touch too much. He's trying that hard to sound knowledgable and enthusiastic, he sounds false and a little condescending, it's a bit cringeworthy.

Think Ashton Sims has come across very well - genuine, knowledgable and pretty much just a normal fella.

Yes, I thought Sims came across well as likeable, good-humoured and knowledgeable.

Liked Sims on here. Agree with everything about Crabtree. Tried to say as much as he could without taint a breath.

Brian Noble going through the teams is the worst for me. Every player is either a speedster or a massive forward.

I dont see the fasination with picking forwards for commentry. Do we not have some half backs that could do the job?

he does come across as a bit manufactured, he sounds nothing like that when you talk to him in his everyday routine!

Simms seems like a natural on TV, a shave, and a haircut is all that's needed. He pishes over 'one tone' Shirley as a pundit.
