| Such potential unrealised. Having an absolute shocker tonight. His errors alone have denied Hull a dozen points. Shame you couldn't transplant Ellis's smarts into Westerman's head.

| Surprised that he hasn't been substituted for being unable to catch or pass, or run with the ball without dropping it.

| Rather than focus on mental midgetry of Joe Westerman, how about the pass from Sinfield for Watkins try.

| I don't think he was that bad.
He did a huge amount of work in both attack and defence and along with Ellis looked to be Hull's only threat.
He seemed to be about the only Hull player taking on the Leeds line as Hull's halfbacks were anonymous. Yes he made a lot of mistakes but that's partly due to a lack of attacking support from his teammates.

Agreed.at least one of those passes were fired so hard and with the ball like a bar of soap its so much harder to take it in.He actually ran well all night and did the hard part with the good lines. Its a fine line, Westerman catches a couple of them, scores a couple of tries and we are hailing him as a real star man of English RL.

Really? He must be REALLY bad then because FC fans have been calling him for years. He had a good season last year, but he's been pretty awful for his entire run at the club.

| I really thought that when he was younger he was going to be the dogs nuts, but sadly its not going to happen.
I suppose the question is why hasn't he reached reached the huge potential he showed when he was young.
Was it down to him or bad coaching 0r a combination of both?

To be fair, he was a bit overhyped during his younger days at Castleford bit like Sneyd. Added a bit to their value but did neither any favours. Had a shocker last night but generally a steady eddie.

| Still waiting for him to win 1 or even two moan if steel awards, as promised by Phil Clarke and the rugby gods.
Westerman looks to me like he is carrying 10-12 kg of extra fat, mostly around his face, needs to lean up a bit.

He moved to Hull. The attitude around the place is crippling. Not to be patronising but I do hope for the sake of Super League - there's a strong Hull side in my lifetime. The fans deserve it for their loyalty to such utter dross.
I thought the Horne brothers, especially Richard Horne was going to be a world beater. Never happened.
Yeaman. Great potential. Never happened.
Ellis, bit older and clapped-out perhaps. Hasn't set the world on fire.
Of course, it's an overreaction. But it seems like playing for Hull in the last 10 years, seems like an incredible mental burden.

| I don't think many people saw Graeme Horne as a future World beater. He has however developed into a very fine and dependable player. We certainly miss his presence when he's out.
