| Great result for the sport. Anyone against it isn't interested in high quality rugby or isn't interested in the sport growing it's profile.

| Some may not agree, mainly Salford wigan and wire fans but it's not a great day for rugby league as koukash spouts
The cap was designed to even up the competition, Wakefield apart this season it has done it's job
Koukashs' impatience could damage all that it's done

So single-handedly Dr K has achieved this? It has to have been voted in by a majority does it not?

| I'm sure Wakefield can't wait to announce the signing of Greg Inglis on £1m a year.

| Evening up the competition is all well and good, but all its done is drag the top teams down. The standard of rugby isn't great and why should teams be held back because of others. I want to see high quality rugby each week so the more talent we get the better, and if that upsets a few small clubs in Yorkshire with no ambition then fine.

| Fantastic news for the sport and I trust those majority of Super League clubs who voted this in are completely satisfied with the details. However, surely to make the middle 8's as fair as possible shouldn't this be opened up to Championship clubs too? As this just seems like a further hurdle infront of those hoping to gain promotion.
Regardless of that, for the Super League competition it is a huge boost and I look forward to seeing which players clubs target.

| Small clubs? Wakefield and possibly Cas, all others are quite capable of spending to the cap and beyond

In 20 years of SL we have only had 4 winners. Hardly closing the gap. The season is closer as teams are desperate to get in that top 8.
I want to see high quality rugby league pplayers playing.
Not handicapping the best teams to allow the lower teams to drag them to their level.

| I would rather see a slight raise in the cap than allowing clubs to spend more than they bring in. It's a sugar daddy rule.

Don't think championship clubs could afford it and it could be dangerous. That said surely the cap has to go up for the championship clubs. Bradford and Leigh could comfortably spend above the cap (now we've finally someone in charge who can count and run it as a business)

Overpaying one player per team will not drastically improve the competition. You are not going to see elite players move to SL because of this. What you are likely to see is infighting within clubs when one player is paid a hugely overstated contract and ultimately clubs overspending again and going bankrupt.
The last time clubs were allowed to spend what they liked on players, Wigan spent so much the club went bankrupt, lost it's historic ground and was saved only by Dave Whelan needing them for the stadium planning application.
What exactly has been approved? Can you now pay a single player anything you like and only £200k counts? Or does nothing count?

| Rugby League has been small time for too long. Union and the NRL basically look down on us. One player won't change the salary cap affect that much.
Do people actually realise what this could mean? Inglis, Burgess etc could be playing in Super League next season. Leeds fans will be hoping for Widdop or Cronk to take over Sinfield. You're gonna have big games where the head to heads are going to be huge. Money talks. Koukash especially will throw an unbelieveble amount of money at one of the biggest names in world rugby to get them to SL. That is not only good for Salford but for the Rugby League as a whole.

So Cronk gets £750,000 a season. Great for the competition and the club. How then do Ryan Hall, Kallum Watkins, Zac Hardaker feel when he's earning in one season what they will take 6 or 7 years to earn?
It's a daft rule.
