Samuel Tomkins cannot earn nearly as much at Wigan as he can at the NZ Warriors. He should tell her to bottle it for a couple more years, and maybe just let her travel back a couple of times a year for a month each time. This is a rugby league player's prime earning time. Over three years he could make nearly a million dollars extra in NZ. She needs to be stronger and so does he. Or else do what Samuel Burgess did in Sydney and bring the family out to live in NZ.

His article in Manchester paper last week was all about him and how he wouldn't try to sign him now because FB is no longer a position of need. Definitely won't happen. |

Why can't people in their 20s learn to live without their mother and father and/or siblings for a few years? Lots of people do it, especially Australians. Isn't that part of growing up? How old is she anyway?

Its bad news, but it happens. The Roosters just simply cant compete with that offer. There not the first club to bring through a player and then lose him due higher offers from another team. I doubt they will let SKD go now.
Could be worse, they could be Manly. |

For big tough lads Rugby League players can be a bit soft when it comes to home sickness. I don't hear about it in soccer where players move all around the world in they're careers.
Why young twenty something lads can't play rugby in a country that shares the same language and similar cultures is beyond me.
I lived in the states for 3 years in my early-mid 20s and that was without a half a million pound annual wage to live on.
