The word on the street in Bondi Junction is that Remi Casty has not had his second year option taken up by the Sydney Roosters and will return to Catalans, to plug the holes left by the departure of Lopini Paea and Mickael Simon from the Catalans engine room. Bad luck for Remi, who had managed to score two tries for the Roosters in the NRL, and had one other try (against Penrith) wrongly disallowed.

Remi is an earnest player, a good defender, and works hard and fearlessly in attack. But he is not quite the dynamic player that the Roosters want to replace Jared Wharea-Hargreaves or Sam Moa from the bench every week.

I also am led to believe that Darryl Millard has not been offered a new contract at Catalans, given the impending arrival of William Tonga and Todd Carney clogging up the foreign quota levels (whatever they are at Catalans). What a shame. He is far superior and more versatile a player than plodding Benjamin Pomeroy.

Shouldn't this sort of thread be reserved for the actual Catalan board? The fact that no-one else added to it, forcing you to add to it yourself suggests the wider RL community isn't interested.
