| Very close games across the board today with a few upsets thrown in too.
Good quality game on Friday and great news for the league with a top international in his prime coming to SL for Salford.
Chuffed for Bradford, worried for Lee Radford.

Radford was brought in to bring in discipline and improve the attitude at Hull. We have some very good players, but on this front we are as bad as ever. Not sure how much patience Pearson will have as the crowds dwindle. I've said elsewhere that this is a wide open league, and any number of teams are capable of taking 4th spot, but if we can't address this inconsistency then it will quickly slip away from us. We have Wigan at home next week, and tbh I fully expect us to win, but we are so up and down from week to week that I can't see us stringing more than a couple of wins together this year. We haven't won back to back games yet this year. That's just ridiculous.

| Its very pleasing to see some of the teams in the lower half of the league record some good results. IMO, the bottom half of the league has been too far adrift of the top five or six teams for most of the season (leading to too many blow-out scores and too few upsets). Hopefully we can see more results like we have today.
Have to agree on Radford as well. I thought it was a peculiar appointment at the time and I really can't see him turning that Hull team around. It's a club that really should be challenging like they were in 2006.

I think it was a mistake to elevate Radford to head coach so quickly, I think those kind of moves rarely work. I'd have had him as assistant for at least 3 or 4 years first.
I also think, regardless of the coaching team, the Hull squad isn't that good and they won't do much better than 6th-8th until they sign some better players and produce some better players too.

I think we all have rose tinted glasses when it comes to our own clubs, but personally I think our squad is capable of more than 6-8.

If we still had licensing the Bulls/Wakey results wouldn't have happened. They would have being 'building' for next season.
On Radford, don't know whether hull result was hull playing badly or Wakey playing well (usually somewhere in between) but problem Radford has now is if hull did play bad, what's Radford going to do, hold another crisis meeting? The comments he used after the widnes game are usually ones you use as a shock tactic to player. He's used his already, keep using comments like "crisis meeting" and players get bored and don't respond to it.

| Hull are consistently inconsistent and appointing someone who has been around that set up was never going to change that.
I wouldn't be shocked at all if they turn round and beat Wigan next week.
The relegation battle looks like it could have legs. Fundamentally, losing 6 points has to all but relegate Bradford, but they shouldn't be the 13th best team in the comp the rest of the way given their signings.
As daft as it sounds, if Bradford get on a run, I don't think you can rule out the slim possibility of Warrington or Hull doing a Wigan 07 and getting somehow drawn into the fight.
The big three and the bottom one aside, this is as close a comp as we've had in the Summer era, even if the overall quality is more Asda than Waitrose.

| I have a bit of a soft spot for the bulls, hoping they make up the points and avoid relegation, we play them next week so expecting a tough game.
As for the Huddersfield/Cas game are we absolutely sure Danny Broughs drop goal went over between the posts.

| The coach of any team who loses at home to the “Whipping Boy Rabble” that is Wakefield deserves to be shown the door.

I fully expect us to beat Wigan and then put in another lethargic performance the week after. That's just what we do and what we have done for years now. We are really good at backing up a poor performance with a really good one, but a couple of weeks later and we are getting turned over by a bottom 3 team again. It's infuriating being a Hull fan.

That is stretching it a tad....he's played 8 tests for the Kiwis...beating wales, France, Scotland.....he's not even first choice at the Warriors and we sit 13th on the NRL table........he's an average player that will be on more money at Salford because the owner hasn't a clue.
Other than that...it was a great weekend!

The usual reckless, off the wall analysis from the gutter man.
Locke is not average; he is a very good player. The judgment of NZ Warriors owners Eric Watson and Owen Glenn, and many others, is that Sam Tomkins is a better player, which is why he has replaced Locke at full back.

| The best part of the weekend was the victory of the Catalans despite the absence of several of their key players.
One hopes that Thomas Bosc, and eventually Scott Dureau, along with Elliot Whitehead and Ian Henderson, will return to lift Catalans to at least a top six position, if not a top four position.
