For the future, my view is that the Super League Grand Final should be played at Wembley with the Challenge Cup Final moving to Old Trafford.

Would be good for both competitions and more chance of filling Wembley every year once the Grand Final got established there. The game would benefit from wider exposure and support.

Think it's time for a debate about the idea at least.

The vast, vast, vast majority of Grand Final ticket sales take place once the finalists are known. You want 50,000+ people to arrange going down to London at a week's notice?

Magic weekend should be at wembley and should be a nines tournament. With an end is season international double or triple header.

The main problem with Murrayfield and Millennium was that they were too big for the MW. Even with the games that had biggest crowds the stadia looked empty. Wembley would have the same problem. Etihad is the perfect venue for MW IMO, but I agree it should become a standalone 9's tournament. There is no justification to having an additional league fixture now that teams can be relegated.

There has never been a justification for MW! How can it be fair if a team finishes 9th on Points diff after losing to the 1st place team and 8th gets in on PD after beating 14th!

Or a similar scenario where someone loses out on home advantage in the playoffs to another team on MW results!

Exactly. I am actually a fan of the new system but I was baffled that it continued having MW as an extra fixture on top of everyone playing each other home and away. It makes absolutely no sense, particularly before the split. It's too late to change anything for this year, which could cause its own problems with 2 teams dropping down, but I really hope they rethink the format of the MW before the new system starts in 2015

If we had to move the Grand Final I would have it under the roof at Cardiff but agree it would be difficult to organise at short notice.Allthough they seem to manage it in Aus when there are no Sydney teams in the Grand Final.
Will we have to find a new venue for the MW when the Etihad is being extended and will it then become too big when it has a 62k capacity?

I think the idea of a Magic Weekend at Wembley is a good one, and with the huge debts they have to pay off I think the Wembley organisers would be up for it, we may have to go for a June date though to avoid the busy May schedule there with all the cup finals and playoffs.

Wembley is a bad idea as it would affect the club trip ticket sales for the CC Final. Cardiff or Olympic Stadium for me.

Wembley for Magic your joking just look how bad Wembley was for the 2nd semi final in the world cup. If you can't get fans to stay for more than one match in cardiff, Scotland or Manchester it aint going to happen at Wembley
