| He has served his punishment for what he did wrong during the World Cup.
But the incident still raises questions about him. Especially when you consider his other past transgressions, such as the drug taking.
Furthermore, does he not concede a lot of penalties in games?
The question is do his skills (strong running and tackling) outweigh his negatives?

| Based on recent form (i.e. all the competitive games I've seen him play for Salford) I'd say that I'm undecided.

| Depends who the coach is, if still McNamara then I don't think he'll opt for him again given Hock's lame "I didn't really do anything wrong" excuse.
If Wane was the next for the job that could be interesting as he had him at Wigan but of course that ended badly with the club. Don't know whether the bad blood between the club and player that came out from it had any effect on Wane's opinion/relationship with Hock in terms of if they would work together again in the future.

| Why when we have better players who also would be more team orientated.
Ferris is a shoe in and Wigan have a rich vein of young backrowers coming through

| There's a lot of good English forwards about, many of whom did not make the England squad this year - Danny Kirmond for example. Many are guys who don't carry Hock's issues.
I'd say Hock would have to hit Man of Steel form in order to be back in contention, but given his lack of [ipercentage play[/i I don't think this will occur.
I also don't particularly think that a move to new glamour club Salford will do his outlook any good. He was all set for a fresh start in OZ where he'd have to work his balls off, but I think that at Salford there'll be a lot of ego massaging and pats on the back when they scrape into the playoffs.

| International players should not just be good footballers, but role models. For mine, Hock was lucky to be called up following his previous misdemeanours. His childish actions following the Italy game and his further attempts to damage the campaign via the BBC interview mean he should never be allowed near an England jersey again.

No he shouldn't be selected, ever again.
Yes, he does concede alot of penalties, and also posession from offloads which don't come off.
Next question.

On the hole Danny's reputation does better that of Hock, but many twitter users recently learned he's not squeaky clean.
...Or perhaps we learned he is!

| I believe had he been repentant and apologetic, then form permitting he would have provided something different to England's back row.
However his finger pointing and lack of remorse would make it difficult to bring him back and in my opinion would send out the wrong message to players like Ferres, who came in and did a professional job.
