| Fiji have put years of preparation into this cup and have left no stone unturned in their efforts to put together the best possible side.
They have a coach who was good enough to get a pretty ordinary side into the NRL top 8 a few years ago and he has made repeated trips to Fiji over the last two years as well as working with Fijian players in Australia.
Some of the players spent up to a month in a training camp in Fiji with Newcastle Knights training, coaching and medical staff getting them ready, and the whole squad minus 3 players were in camp for a few weeks in Fiji and played a warm up game against Fiji residents before flying to England.
A lot of teams got together a week ago and met their fellow players at the same time, but Fiji have gone through an Olympic like preparation with NRL standard coaches, trainers and medical staff putting them through their paces.
Big Petero even played a season of Queensland cup to keep his hand in just so he could lead Fiji.
I think Fiji are going to give Ireland a serious beating, and they'll throw everything at Australia and England too.

Very interesting information. Thanks.

| On route to work, get that out the way then head over to Rochdale for this game. I'm really looking forward to it. I've got Irish heritage so I'll probably be cheering for them but Fiji look an exciting team and their enthusiasm is infectious.
Should be a great game and a better occasion.

| Cannot wait for this. To say I am going to a sold out rugby league fixture in Rochdale is insane. Still buzzing from last night and the crowd will be just as good tonight.

| I can't wait to see Fiji play. I can only hope that they come out against England and throw everything at them. Something close to what we saw last night, broadcast to millions on the BBC, could do wonders for the sport.

| My first taste of the World Cup later today so i am hoping for a good game, read a very interesting fact the other day Rochdale has the second highest Fijian population outside of London.
Am sat in block a of the Ireland fans only tickets left I could find but for £7.50 cannot complain.

| We're in the "Fiji end" as well, but I'm not sure it'll end up that way!

| Was tempted to wear my Fiji shirt but am going straight from work and cba getting changed.
Will probably cheer for Fiji though to annoy my Ireland supporting cousin that I'm going the game with.
