| Really looking forward to watching him in the World Cup (as long as McBanana doesn't play JJB at prop). It's feels a bit like going to watch an NRL star in the Aussie or NZ side for the first time live yet he's English.
Weird situation but really exciting for the England team.

| Talking about the build up to last years Grand Final in Oz he said
"It was awesome. I loved the atmosphere and hype behind the team. It's totally different to what I am used to coming from, northern England where the game is not big or anything."
How on Earth are our governing body still in a job? No wonder everybody is packing their bag and filling in their visa applications as soon as they can.

| Not surprised by this. For any one who hasn't watched much NRL this year and you would like a quick picture painted of how good he is, picture Jamie Peacock this year playing for Leeds and then times it by factor of about 6. That is how good he has been.

Both play the same position yes, but Different players completely. One brings 60-70 minutes of non stop in your face biff, the other is an awesome impact player.
Both have had outstanding seasons, but less of the NRL love in please its a bit of an insult to JP to say any forward in the world has been 6x better than him this year.

No its not. And for those who don't watch NRL, how else would you describe the impact/his performances this year? JP has been the best prop this year in SL without a doubt and for me should be MoS. Would I have George over JP atm yes within a heart beat.

| Of course people would have Burgess over Peacock mainly due to the fact he's 15 years younger but to say he's 6 times the player Peacock is or his form has been 6 times better is laughable. He's been immense, there's no question but we need to stop this disrespect we show our own competition and the ar*e kissing we keep giving the NRL.
If George Burgess ends up anywhere near as good as Peacock he'll have had a great career. One season doesn't make you a legend. I'm sure he knows that anyway.

Like i say, two different styles of prop.I watch a lot of NRL like im sure many do on here and have been astounded by some of George's early games and what he brings to the table as an impact player. But Phil Gould did his best 13 of the year the other day and George didnt make that side as one of the props and he probably wont make the NRL team of the year.Thats not to say he hasnt been great but he still isn't the finished article, which is scary in itself!
As a Leeds fan, no i wouldnt have had George over JP this year.he wouldn't have been able to carry our pack in the way JP has had to game after game.
That said, really looking forward to seeing George and Sam play for us in the WC, and hope they can carry their club form through into the tournament.

His stats suggest he is a lot more than an impact player.Averaging 46 minutes a game and the work he puts in both in defence and offence during those minutes back that up.
According to Fox Sports Statistics, the hulking forward crams an unfathomable amount of work into the 46 minutes he plays each week - averaging a whopping 140 metres and 26 tackles per game. Elsewhere, George has also busted 95 tackles, made eight linebreaks and scored seven tries.
JP averages 156 metres and 33 tackles per game.47 Busted Tackles ,Line Breaks 3 and scored 3 tries.

I would have all four brothers & James Graham in the England squad ahead of any in super league & I am not a beliver that all thing australian are better just that three of those have been up in the top players from the start of the season Luke has come back from injury & played his way into the starting line up at the back end of the season & Tom has forced his way into the Souths side as well, add to them Widdop & the ginger from the Broncos we have the start of a good side.
