He carries the ball up and down the field with consistent results, tackles strong and makes breaks. Cracking front rower. Better than test front rowers Tamou and Scott |

If this is selected on form, Charnley is head and shoulders the right winger for this side. But still, given the choice of the two, I'd pick Hall. I don't know why, he just seems the more complete player and rarely gets outplayed. That being said, I would have Monaghan over both.

Wow.
This a serious question now, not just to you but to anyone who rates him highly. What makes Monaghan so good in your eyes?
He scores alot of easy tries in an excellent attacking team, but as I see it he is slow for a winger. His work rate is fairly good but only on par with the other top wingers. He is reasonably strong in the tackle but not in the same league as guys like Briscoe and Hall to name just a couple. His defence is average at best bordering on poor and he makes more than his fair share of errors. As far as I can see the only area he excels is in the air.
He is a good dependable winger who will always offer a threat due to his size. He isn't in the top 5 Superleague wingers, to suggest him for the world team is crazy. |
