I've been going to the CC final for about 15 years now. Today I was embarrassed to be a Rugby League fan.
We we're some of the only neutral fans in the upper tear a predominantly Hull stand, we had coins thrown at us in the second half. There was a fairly large fight between Hull fans in in the corner of the Hull end (between Hull Fans amongst themselves). The language and aggression of some of the Hull fans around us was abysmal, especially considering there were quite a few young children near us too.

It was a total embarrassment.

I'm sorry it happened, but please don't talk to me and other Hull FC fan on here that had nothing to do with it like its our fault.

I suggest you contact Wembley security to report it.

I was in the Hull end and didn't see anything other than rugby league fans of all allegiances enjoying a day out together.

At the last few cc finals I have been to I have seen similar things from Warrington fans.

It is generally people who are very much the worse for wear and on a weekend bender who seem unable to handle their ale.

Certainly not a game that I would choose to take young children to.

One of the biggest causes of this kind of problem is the useless Wembley security. As you approach and walk around the stadium there are tannoy announcements about behaviour and drunken behavior, and then the only thing they care about.....ONCE YOU ARE INSIDE..... is the fact that your bottle of water has a lid on it!!! If they want to get serious about stamping it out all they need to do is put the security staff on the outside (like at the Etihad). This also needs to be backed up by better quality bar staff. Being able to open your wallet to hand over a £10 note does NOT mean you are sober and should be served more alcohol.

I agree, the Stewards were useless, there was a couple of blokes stood texting and blocking the vometary onto the seating deck directly in front of the stewards. They did nothing about it. They just didn't look interested.

It's probably because Wigan won in such an awful fashion in such a poor game with no fans in attendance.

We were at the stadium by 10:00am, and I saw a drunk fan before 11:00.
I can't understand why people travel to a game such as this, and then spend the weekend drunk. You can do that any other weekend of the year, why waste a weekend away, and at London prices?

The Broncos suffer this every second week- Hull are the worst fans
