Egg on the face of rugby league chiefs
Fev v Cas a classic example why teams from the championship should be aloud into super league.
Nothing between bottom of super league and top championship clubs, and if given the money super league clubs recieve who knows what they could acheive.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate

the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever

When Fev can spend 1.6m on the cap, have suitable facilities for a 'super' league, and stard proving good young players for the England pool of players, while also increasing their gates... they are more than welcome in super league IMO, untill then they wouldn't last a season in super league. Great club, great fans, would love to see them in super league, but they need to sort more than just a 4th round tie against their rivals.

What has the franchise system done for our sport.
Clubs in administration, crowds of less than 3000, Players coming out of retirement (radford) where are the youngsters coming through, NRL players over 30 years old still coming over to play.

Franchising has been in place for 3 years. Do you seriously think that those issues you speak of have their roots from the last 3 years? |

Are you suggesting that Sooper Dooper franchising isn't all it's cracked up to be?
That Sooper Dooper franchise clubs are still spending an arm and a leg on questionable overseas players to bolster their playing ranks as opposed to developing their own?
That Sooper Dooper franchise clubs are screwed without the leg-up of all that exclusive income from TV?
None of that fits in with the Sooper Dooper modern agenda.
Please excuse me while I don my flat cap and take the whippet for a celebratory walk around Fev this evening. |
