| With one been the best and five been the fifth best. Feel free to put anyone who qualifies for the current squad. Even players that didn’t play because they were injured.
1. Kevin Sinfield
2. James Roby
3. Ryan Hall
4. Sam Burgess (we missed him at the 4N)
5. Ben Westwood

| The fact that you've put Kevin Sinfield first and Sam Tomkins not even on the list means this thread isn't going to get off to a good start!

The thread title is “The five best current England internationals?” and yet you say “feel free to put anyone who qualifies for the current squad”. Bizarre!

'" He's great, but few Leeds fans would ever put him above Sinfield when it comes to best players. Sinfield is everything to Leeds, but he can, rightly, never be given the required dominance over the international team that he has at club level.

| Roby - he really had a tussle with his Aussie counterpart: when Robes was winning we made yards; when he was losing, we didn't
Graham - he is a machine and England benefits from that and his offload (when it comes off!)
Tomkins - his final was disappointing (which may have been helped by the Aussies targeting him) but he really stepped up in all the other games
Reed - he was one of the few England players who didn't seem to be in awe of the Aussies in the final
Widdop - we sparked right up when he came on for his 10 minute spells! Wished we could have seen him in the halves rather than Sinfield.
I was also impressed with the efforts of JJB and Westwood until the final.

Exactly, the tittle of the thread is The five best current England internationals? not The five best SL players who can play for England!!
Tomkins
Roby
Graham
Burgess
Hall
We missed Burgess in the 4N and I feel the likes of JP and Morley are shot at international level and lack the edge they had 5 yrs ago. although they will always give you 110%. Ive left Ellis out because although he has never let England down he has never regularly produced his club performances at International level unlike the 5 in the list.

Ellis may not have shone in an England shirt recently (if at all), but for me, he's one of the two best second-rowers in world rugby (Thaiday being the other).
