Would you be in favour of the event being brought back as a pre season tournament and used as a marketing tool for Rugby League as the sporting landscape in Sydney as altered so much since the event was biined?

The union 7s tour is on Gold Coast this weekend i believe,will be interesting to see how they go,crowdwise etc.

Having this union 7s comp on the Gold Coast is all about testing the water to see is there is enough interest in union to put a super15/16 team there.

As a regular at Titans and GCU games i thought the same,2-3500 poss friday,10,000-12,000 sat i reckoned.

Yes,but with Queensland Reds just an hour upthe coast i doubt they could survive,they formes a team here a few years back,East Coast aces or something to play in the Aussie comp,it was a disaster and the folded after a year or two.The fans up here are a fickle lot,as the Titans found out last year.

Interesting? Did they use a different counting system at the 7's turnstyles that they use at GCT games? Sevens crowds, rarely sit and watch the games........they are mostly to be found in the car park/consourse area, sleeping, drinking, throwing up or drinking more so they can sleep or throw up...or both.

7's in the Union code has very little to do with the "game"....it's the event...which involves group attendance, fancy dreess, excess booze and a "brillian time"
