| I hope the pressure on England to perform on Saturday doesn't end up having a detrimental effect.
But if we do show up and beat New Zealand to reach the final (assuming it's a 32,000 sellout) then we can proudly say that in times of a recession, we will have generated the best attendances for International Rugby League since 1995 and the Centenary World Cup.
We must build from the stirring performance against Australia and not take the Kiwis for granted.
The bookies have England as underdogs and rightly so I feel as both Australia and New Zealand have far greater depth of quality, but that's not to say that we can't give them a game and compete with them for the full eighty minutes.
England 26-20 New Zealand is my call with 22,000 in attendance.

| New Zealand are certainly there for the taking IMO but we could be down to the bones if Ellis, Graham, Peacock & Westwood are all missing.
The focus shouldn't be on the referee Matt Cecchin but no doubt in the lead up to the game the spotlight will fall on the young Australian official.

| England must win on Saturday if they are to meet Australia in the final on the 19th.
New Zealand however can afford the luxury of the draw due to their superior points for/against percentage.
The cruel thing about the situation England now find themselves in is that had the Tom Briscoe try been given it would be us that would have the superior percentage.

| Points difference seems to be the same for England and NZ at the moment
England For 62 Against 40
NZ For 48 Against 26
NZ have a better points ratio but that method was abandoned decades ago.
If the match is a draw, the points differences stay the same and England go through on points scored. Do they go to golden point if scores are equal at full time?

If it's a draw New Zealand go through on the better points %.

The BBC are reporting this too, seems wrong in principle and the official four nations website lists England above New Zealand in their table
Confusing stuff
